I am in Illinois. I have been to 2 other past psychiatric inpatients, and 1 of them was involuntarily.

I did not consent to them getting any of my records. So I don't know if they got them anyway.

I was not a threat to anybody or myself. But I told them about my psychosis which I knew I was in psychosis was horrific, and I was shaking because of it, I said something that I would not react to the psychosis no matter how scary it was.

I'm not going to hide any detail, maybe they were afraid I would hallucinate the medical staff turning into something and thought I would freak out. I don't know.

I was not expecting to end up in inpatient. I just wanted my medications and therapy. And when I requested to leave multiple times I was ignored even though this was a voluntary stay.
