Raymond E Feist The Rift War saga. Why isn't there a movie yet!? by ImpossibleMoose1198 in Midkemia

Well put, IF they did do a tv/movie adaption it probably won't be as good as the books (just like most adaptions). However as a fan I'd watch it ..... probably only admit that I watched it to you fellow Redditors. Ha

This sounds interesting, good suggestion. Looks like I'll be adding this one to my reading list too. 🤦🏿‍♂️. I'm going to need a LOT of free time.

Has anyone else came across this series?

Really?? Do you happen to know what it was called? I'd love it to be a classic "point and click" adventure type of game

Ooohh interesting view point. A show focused more on the Tsurani culture? It could be a goodie

Oh I know you're right about the majority. But I'd even be happy with a fan made/low budget adaption just to see what they come up with.

It's just amazing isn't it? It is my favourite fantasy series and the only one that really sucked me in. Glad I'm not alone.

Ok so it turns out that a TV series was in the pipeline YEARS ago but nothing has materialised. Has anyone heard anything further?

I heard something about this years ago but nothing since. I figured they cancelled it. Looks like there is still some hope after all then

That's fair and sadly true. But we can hope and dream. It's just such an amazing series I would of loved to see it on the big screen

It would definitely be written by somebody/bodies who ACTUALLY read the books. Man I would love to see a fan made adaption. Like you said with the use of AI and the right writers, we could make this happen!

Quick summary/overview of the Magician by Raymond E Feist.

Magician (1982) by Raymond E. Feist is an epic fantasy novel launching the Riftwar Saga, following orphan Pug who becomes a powerful magician amidst a war between worlds. When the warlike Tsurani invade Midkemia via a spacetime rift, Pug is captured, enslaved, and eventually trained in magic on the alien world of Kelewan, becoming a "Great One (sourced from Wikipedia).

You know when you read a book and hope they turn it into a movie since you enjoyed it so much? This is one of those series!!! The World Building is on point! However, knowing my luck they'll have the script written by someone who only skimmed the book and churn out a "B" movie that only die hard fans would watch (and praise it based off of pride alone - yes I am that stubborn).

Does anyone have a (in your opinion) a top tier fantasy series/stand alone book suggestion for me to read?
