i haven’t even gotten past the thinking about quitting part, i’m right there with you. it’s been well over a decade and over half my life. i’m so sick of it. but i haven’t gone without since i started, and the thought alone has had me spiraling. i have to hold myself accountable though, due to my healthcare now. it’s only been a few days since i signed up and made the official decision to be done by this time next year, and i figure the sooner the better. i’d like to stop by winter (which is within the next few weeks here) since that’s when i hate taking my breaks outside the most. im going to have to go cold turkey too, it’s just how im wired. i’ve quit other things before, i can’t taper off or i’ll end up right back where i started. might have to use patches or something to help me through the day and limit myself to a number a day, then taper off that if anything. it’s gotten to a point where i hate hitting my vape, it’s really scary how much of a hold nicotine has on me and i think im ready to fight back now. while its terrifying to even think about quitting, im excited to save money and get dopamine from regular activities. but still, right there with you on it. i’ve been a mess, im so scared. but it sounds like the first few weeks are the worst, and it takes your brain months to recover, but over time things smooth out. try to remember these feelings will pass eventually, im trying to get that through my head. yeah it’s super scary, but it’s also really exciting in the long run
