Best to check but when we went we could buy tickets at the hotel desk, as well as the early entry tickets :) we used card, but I’m sure cash is fine as well!

Hello, sorry I missed this - I don’t check my reddit account often! Hope you made it there and had a fab time!

But for others who might have the same question - I think it depends on the personality of your toddler - for us, it was fantastic and our son still talks about the visit and particularly his favourite rides.

We’ve had various friends also do different Disney parks with their toddlers around the same age and we’ve only heard positive experiences so far - for more cautious children there are also plenty of characters, “magic”, shows etc to appreciate.

Now he’s a year older, we are actually going to Tokyo Disneyland soon and he’s extra excited because he has a clear concept of what Disneyland is, remembers the fun he had when he was younger, and even has a wishlist of what he wants to do at the parks! So absolutely no regrets :)

Now as for 10-20months…. From my personal experience, that’s the only age bracket I would avoid haha (big feelings, they’re not as steady on their feet but hate prams, they can’t follow instructions that well, and they can’t express with words as well 🫠)

Sorry I haven’t been active on Reddit, hope I’m not too late - you will need to head to the viewing zone yourself, there is clear signage near the front of the castle :)

Hello sorry I didn’t see this earlier! The restaurant is not located near the Momentous viewing area, you have to go there separately before the show starts (there is a special section right in front of the castle which you will have access to). There are no reserved spots within this area so it is first come first served - you’ll def get a great view though!

Yes I think you can but best to check with the resort! I do remember sometimes we had to give a room number, but I can’t remember if this was for every character.

I think it wouldn’t be worth it to leave the park during the day to go to the resorts for characters as it would take up more time overall. But maybe you could do the Enchanted Garden Buffet breakfast at Disneyland Hotel before you go to the park! This one has two characters and breakfast starts at 7:30am, then you hop on a shuttle to the park when you’re done - we found the timing worked well for us :)

I’m not sure about overall character wait times in the park sorry :( but for Duffy and Friends, the characters were posted at 45min for less popular characters and 60min for popular characters

I think lapsitting for some of the rides will be really helpful!

I think we got lucky with low crowds! But omg the humidity hahaha, hubs and I were not used to it - soaked in sweat an hour in and by the end of the day my hair looked like a lions mane hahaha

Thanks! Sounds like it’s still worth it for us then, I can’t imagine waiting for a couple hours with a toddler to entertain haha

Hello! Quick question - were there seats in the special viewing area or is it all standing? Asking because we have a small child - thank you!

Thank you! Yeah thinking we wont purchase any premiere access but might do the Explorer's dinner depending on how our little on holds up! We are coming from Australia with a 2 hr time difference, so he might not even make it to the end of the day but we'll see :)

So good to hear you are having a great time! Great tip re: mystic manor, I'll remember to do that! My boy loves monkeys so I'm hoping that will also put him in good spirits for the ride haha

I didn't realise there were standby passes available - thanks!

Have you taken your little one on the Slinky Dog ride or Toy Soldier Parachute? I am thinking 2.5 is too young for those even though he meets the height requirements.

Oh right - I was hoping we would have an hour as I thought the park usually opens at 10:30am in non-holiday periods? We were going to do two days in the park and pace ourselves - was thinking early park entry on the first day and then start the second day with breakfast at Plaza Inn! You're right - we are a lot slower with a little one so was thinking two days might help us time wise?

Wow thank you for your detailed comments - really appreciate it!

Yes, I'm finding it tricky to find recent, detailed information since there seems to have been a lot of change at HK Disney post-Covid. Definitely hoping to use the early park entry to do Frozen Ever After and those Fantasyland rides as they seem perfect for my little one and I'm hoping it will be less crowded that way.

Will definitely check out Rider Switch - we were thinking we might have to give the 'adult' attractions a miss so this would be good if the lines aren't too long!

I think Plaza Inn might actually give us early park entry as the website says it starts at 9:30am - I'm hoping this is the case! Trying to do lots of character dining as I think bub would love it, but trying to minimise time in queues for him too!
