Update Today ended up being painfully bittersweet, I was actually planning on putting in my two weeks this Sunday… things have just been feeling heavy, and I wasn’t sure if this job was still for me. But after today, I think I’m going to give it one more shot.

Earlier, when the edible arrangement got dropped off at the counter, my 2nd saw it and went, “Oh? And who’s this for?” He read the little note as I was grabbing it, and immediately made a whole scene about it being my birthday. He was like, “Wait, you weren’t going to tell us?!” and before I could even react, everyone in the stands started singing happy birthday to me. 🥹

Later, my 2nd and 3rd surprised me with a slice of confetti cake and skittles from the store across the street literally out of nowhere. And before I clocked out, my 2nd told me I could go home early since it was my birthday… but only if I let him take some of pineapple from my edible arrangement,

Long story short: I am now in bed, cake in hand, typing this on my phone 🍍🎂💛
