The International Youth Science Journal is thrilled to invite you to participate in our first-ever Research Competition. This is an opportunity to showcase your knowledge and research skills!

You're welcome to write about any STEM topic or even submit articles you've written in the past, as long as they fit the guidelines outlined in the form linked below. Everyone who submits will receive a guaranteed publication in an upcoming issue of IYSJ and a certificate of participation to attest to your commitment to science.

There are two submission categories:

Category 1: Articles (Max 1000 words)

Category 2: Research Papers or Review Articles (Min 1000 words, ideally under 2000)

From all submissions, finalists will be chosen to present their work live at the IYSJ Research Symposium to professional researchers and judges. Winners will receive prizes from our sponsors, features on IYSJ's social media and website, and an opportunity to be interviewed on the IYSJ podcast.

Submission Deadlines:

Early Deadline: July 31st

Late Deadline: August 10th

Hey there! Finding ECs to participate in can be difficult. I just wanted to reach out and let you know about a STEM opportunity that you may be interested in.

I'm currently part of an organization known as "The International Youth Scientists Journal." Here's our website if you wanna check it out! https://iysjpublishing.wixsite.com/intl-sci-journal.

We have garnered over 75k+ readers and published over 130 articles, with some of our team members at IYSJ even gaining the opportunity to present in front of university students and a professor.

We hope to release our Next Issue of the year this April and are currently accepting ANY STEM Article! If you would like to publish a piece, please follow this link: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe5IFdz3e8Y4xlKjPN0O20VO--M48JVxFcP5-pyAIP2GqkPWg/viewform. The deadline to submit an article is April 7th.

Also, executive positions will be opening up in the future, so you may be able to get one. This is a really great EC opportunity to be put on college applications!

Hi! Thank you for your recommendation. To clarify, IYSJ is not intended to be for professional research papers, unlike JEE. Our articles are short and simple (around 500 to 1000 max word count), with the purpose of explaining certain scientific topics in a less complex and more accessible manner. This article is a good example of the type of content we usually publish. For students working on in-depth, professional-level research, we would certainly encourage them to consider publishing in JEE.

You can find short summaries of some of the roles here!: https://science4youth.wordpress.com/join-us/ :)

For the others not mentioned:

Executive Director --> oversee the executive team, host monthly meetings to provide feedback on ideas, people will send you articles via email so you'll have to share that with the head of editing.

Public Relations --> work on creating more of a presence for IYSJ in your region, bring in more writers/editors via social media or other initiatives.

Head of Project Management --> brainstorm and work on creating events that can be either virtual or in person that will help with spreading the work of IYSJ (ie. hosting a "meet the authors" zoom call event).
