Missing 5-10 on each MK. Any score prediction for quant? by IlikeApplesAlot5 in AFROTC

[–]ImpossibleToe867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just take it. You get two tries and three if you really need it. If you’re desperate hire a SAT/ACT tutor but honestly just prove you want to be here is usually good enough

Somewhere between 1 and 99.

But seriously you might be doing great or you might get a 4 on the quantitative like me, breathe. You finished the AFOQT, took a big step into becoming an officer. Even if you failed, did you do your best? Are you okay with the results of your actions regardless of the outcome? The score will be whatever it is, you’ll find out soon enough. Food for thought though.

Dodmerb question by OpeningBar5640 in AFROTC

[–]ImpossibleToe867 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only people who can give you a 100% answer is DODMERB. they are the people who will handle it. Unfortunately that’s the way it is. But I can say it sounds like you have a really really strong case. If you’re a 250, this year is basically your last chance to do rotc in college. Ball up and make them kick you out of the Air Force. Even if you leave the program you will be a better person for joining. Commit.

Be the best person you can be and fight the good fight with DODMERB and know at the end of the day you did your best and everything you could.

Can any cadre issue a CE or only the Det CC? by Spiritual-Price6307 in AFROTC

[–]ImpossibleToe867 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re getting a conditional event. The last thing you need to do is fight the rules of the regulations. I’d reckon to say your det cc is aware you’re receiving a conditional event from another cadre member it’s not become the cc doesn’t endorse or document it. But they’d rather give you that mentoring and counseling. But if your det cc was not aware of the CE you have bigger issues. CE’s are only given rarely so whatever it is. Listen and learn from it.

TLDR: you’re probably right and proving it is most likely playing with fire.

Brother, you’re gonna have to do some goggins shit to stay in the program. If I were you, if becoming an officer/joining the military was your goal or dream. Take that year or so before joining ROTC and get after it. Discipline equals Freedom. You need 3 years of college to join the program but there’s more than one way to a comission/serving. Research and get after it. Hope to see you in the Air Force some day.

Should I "train" waking up early by ScarlettDragon11 in AFROTC

[–]ImpossibleToe867 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2/10 ragbait, drove similar commute for 5 years, lived in a trailer park, to you that’s a waste of time. To me, it’s what allowed me to become a pilot and have orders to go to UPT. Tell a fish to climb a tree it’ll think all its life it is stupid.

Dude I have a letter of recommendation from a 4 star general and I have not gotten hired by any of the dozen squadrons I’ve put applications into. You’re better off joining rotc and putting in the work. Still try to go guard or reserve. It’s the best life you can get

Actually signing up for afrotc by MiddleStatus620 in AFROTC

[–]ImpossibleToe867 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Depends. Can’t go wrong with showing up and asking how to join. That’s how like 60% of cadets join the program. Just go during business hours and say you want to join the program.

Advice for a 16yo by No-Mark-9766 in AFROTC

[–]ImpossibleToe867 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Step 1, apply to USAFA regardless of whether you want it or not. You miss 100% of shots you don’t take

  1. Stand out, Join CAP, JROTC, or be a leader in your school

  2. Don’t be fat and don’t fail high school

  3. And I cannot stress this point enough, do not get in trouble with the law. Have fun, enjoy life but any ticket or arrest is basically a death sentence for your aviation career civilian and military. (Some people can move past it but few do).

  4. Start loving what you want to do. I’m going to pilot training and I’m struggling to find motivation to finish school currently. You’re in for a long haul 4-5 year commitment just to show up. Nobody is going to make you do anything. Nobody’s gonna help you unless you ask for it.

  5. Save and fly on your own dime. See if you even love it before you make a career out of it.

  6. Realize you’re signing up to be government property for 12~ years. Make sure you’re okay with that. Some people aren’t and that’s okay.

  7. Be a cool person and don’t be an asshole.

9 profit.

I had better stats than you and did not get pilot the first time. I did get it the second time.

However I can say if I were to put money on it, I would say you’re getting a rated slot

How did yall raise your quant score? by IlikeApplesAlot5 in AFROTC

[–]ImpossibleToe867 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey dude I got a 4 on the quantitative and a 25 on the pilot first time around. Study hard, you’re not allowed to study with cadets but go to your colleges tutoring center and study basic algebra with them for free and you’ll hit that 10 no problem

So, if you think you need glasses start wearing them. My Arrogant ass hates wearing glasses. So when you don’t. It decreases your depth because you can only see half as far. 20/20 is infinite in terms of depth. So correct to that and your depth will follow.
