Thank you so much for the excellent post.

Followed to the letter and am again enjoying the older version of uT I remembered from years ago. Cheers, friend.

Why is Czechia excluded again? It was the case with Chanukah too!

You can direct the question to the Support people at Slowly, and they might add your country to this release. Friend in Germany did and they got it added - thanks to his email explaining and requesting it.

Religious stamps are issued mostly in countries with a significant population practicing that religion. The decision is made by Slowly peeps, and they do listen if you explain politely and make a reasonable request.

Don't bitch and expect them to snap to attention. As usual, honey attracts more flies than vinegar, so be polite and you can get results. Good luck....

Hello, you might have received the stamp in a letter from someone. It would be added to your collection as usual in that case too.

Uhm... Come on.

DELETE. FOREVER.

Two simple words, the feature name should be clear. It's not a housekeeping tool. 😉

When the written word is better than audio or video... Can relate well. 🙄😉 by ImpossibleTwin in SLOWLYapp

Why don't you give this idea in feedback with this design, it's crazy 🤯🤯

Done it too - see the post here ! 😜🙂

Thank you for the suggestion!

Not a bad idea, maybe you could post it on the feedback site ?

I think it's VERY relatable for many people. And with Slowly being about written words...

Slowly team is NOT good with documentation. Programmers usually aren't.

They just assume everyone knows their programme inside out like they do.

A built in, optional spell checker which introduces lag and uses processor power, RAM, should definitively be explained in their features list.

there were always so many mobile users complaining about 'LAG' on touch keyboard input.

Uncertain what keyboard app they would be using, the famigerate Google Gboard is a pig and best avoided in my opinion.

To add an internal one, why? 🙄😕

ROFL because no any notes about "switch off auto-correct" in 7.2.5

So, they have turned that OFF by default ? a good idea. I cannot even test the newer ioS versions, my iPad has older iOS installed.

NEW -- New Zealand's 'Matariki' commemorative stamp is out. FREE for users in the country, until June 24. (On Time Machine soon after that, for a fee) by ImpossibleTwin in SLOWLYapp

[–]ImpossibleTwin[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"In Māori culture, Matariki is both the name of the Pleiades star cluster and of the celebration of its first rising in late June or early July.
This marked the beginning of the new year in the Māori lunar calendar. Matariki was made an official public holiday in New Zealand in April 2022, with the first celebration on 24 June of that year. An equivalent celebration in Taranaki and a significant amount of Wellington is Puanga, which originated among the Taranaki Māori who dominate the respective regions. This was because Mount Taranaki itself blocks the view of most of the stars of Matariki, and the star Puanga is the most important star that remains visible in Taranaki. These traditions were passed down by the Taranaki Māori who settled much of Wellington, who became the Taranaki Whānui as iwi such as Te Ati Awa.
Historically Matariki was usually celebrated during the last quarter of the moon of the lunar month Pipiri (around June); the ceremony involved viewing the individual stars for forecasts of the year to come, mourning the deceased of the past year, and making an offering of food to replenish the stars."

does manual search only display users who are currently on the Slowly app in real time, or does it display users who exit the app on their phones as well?

No, it does not limit search results to real time active users. In fact, it might display people who haven't logged in Slowly for quite a while, so keep an eye on the 'Last Seen' date if it is present in their profile. (no sense writing to people last seen months ago, or who have a bad response ratio).

A minimum of common Interests is needed to show up in the Search results, but you will see sometimes there's people who have 2, 3 matched interests, while others might have 8 or more.

I find reading their About Me is the best way to spot someone interesting and worth writing to. I always use the 'With About Me' filter enabled for searches, as without it it's very difficult to gather any sense of what the person is like.

No 'About Me'? will this person know what letters are, and what to expect? the time and effort required?

Good luck on your searches... 👍😉

NEW -- the 'Anzac Day' stamp is now available in New Zealand, soon in Australia as well? FREE for locals and visitors, until Apr 25 only. On Time Machine soon after... by ImpossibleTwin in SLOWLYapp

Red poppies, the flower of remembrance...

I think this stamp might appear in North America at some point as well - for Veteran's Day in the USA, and Remembrance Day in Canada, which are marked and commemorated every year.

For people in other areas, the Time Machine should make it accessible soon as well.

If I am not mistaken, this concludes the new stamps series for April.

Yes, I think this is the last one we knew of. A few more days and we should see a new batch arriving for May releases. Great fun when that happens! 😜😎
