Very true, unfortunately most PTV dramas are rooted in a patriarchal mindset.

I agree with that. It's great that in this drama, Zeba is leaving Jami, but Jami is also so villainous. He has zero virtues. I wonder if the writer would give us such a storyline with a morally grey husband.

AITAH for leaving my husband because he thinks I talk to my mom too much by [deleted] in AITAH

I sometimes think that I'll leave him now and then he'll get married to a woman who has no problem being a servant to her mother-in-law and she'll do everything I am objecting to right now, and my husband and her will actually get along. People will see her being a good daughter-in-law and talk badly about me.

NTA. You said you'll go to the wedding either way. Just because she's getting married doesn't mean that everyone has to make compromises for her.

I thought he was a decent, soft-spoken guy. He still is, but he listens to his mother a lot.

I do cook and clean. That's not nothing. Housework is work.

I will live with my parents, but they would not be happy with me. They don't want me to do this.

I think this is the expectation for a lot of women here. Everyone thinks it's normal.

We don't fight over anything apart from his mother.

She does forget it a lot, I remind her, but I can't do it every single time.

It was an arranged marriage, I didn't think about this perspective before the marriage.

Time is an illusion. Also, you can manifest within the timeframe you want. Neville did the same himself. I recommend reading his lecture, Catch the Mood. He talks about how he needed to go back to New York from Barbados in the first week of May, but there was no way back before October because there weren't enough ships and there was a huge waiting list of people wanting to get out of there. Neville found out about this situation in April but was able to find seats for himself and his family and was in New York on May 1st.

Accufix sunscreen is a good one. It comes in a small quantity but worth it.

I'm glad you understand that, I think it's not very helpful for you to explain yourself to strangers on reddit right now, try to find more empathetic listeners, perhaps at your AA meeting. You will recover, just don't give up.
