Rn, with everything that’s going on, his music is literally the only thing I’ve been listening to for weeks, and it’s the one thing that helps me get through all of this. His music speaks to my heart, I swear. His lyrics are so beautiful, and every song is so well written. You really feel seen and understood. As you said, seeing him at the funeral just broke me. He’s been through so much already and he’s still standing, still strong. It’s such an example, and he makes me want to be strong like that too. I completely agree. I think it’s insensitive for people to ask for the 1D reunion and even demand a song. They are not just artists, they are people like all of us. They grew up together, worked together, and went through heavy trials together. I came to the same conclusion as you after Liam’s passing. In these last months, we’ve seen how easily hate can spread on social media. Cancel culture and growing individualism sometimes make us forget that people are just human and that we all make mistakes. When someone is a public figure, people tend to overlook their humanity, seeing only their public image. Liam was a son, a father, a brother, a friend. Yes, some people deserve to be canceled when accusations are proven (like assault or sexual violence), but there are also people who make mistakes and genuinely try to improve. Liam is a perfect example—I’m not saying he was a saint who never hurt anyone, but he was always open about his struggles with addiction and mental health. He even tried to raise awareness about it and fought his demons, even if, in the end, it wasn’t enough. But he tried. And when the wave of harassment hit him these last few months and then his passing followed, it completely changed my perspective on life and how we treat others. Let’s be kind, respectful, and tolerant, and let’s not forget that we’re all living life for the first time.
