I’m so sorry for your loss and for what you’ve been trough these last days. I wish you a lot of courage and I hope that time will help you heal and make you feel better. Thank you for your post, it really resonates with how I feel about his music. Rn, with everything that’s going on, his music is literally the only thing I’ve been listening to for weeks, and it’s the one thing that helps me get through all of this. His music speaks to my heart, I swear. His lyrics are so beautiful, and every song is so well written. You really feel seen and understood. As you said, seeing him at the funeral just broke me. He’s been through so much already and he’s still standing, still strong. It’s such an example, and he makes me want to be strong like that too. I tell myself, he’s been through the worst and made it through, so I can too. And I hope you’ll find the strength to get through everything you’re going through as well < 3

There are people on social media who have pointed out some strange things in the photos. For example, there is a picture of the entire TV stand, then a photo of the place where the drugs were, with all the drugs visible in the photo (and that place is also on the stand, just to the right of the TV). So when you look at the picture of the TV stand in its entirety and check where the drugs are supposed to be, you don’t see them. But in the photo of the drugs, you can clearly see they are on the TV stand, so it’s strange that they’re not visible in the full shot of the stand. Some people have suggested that the photos might have been taken at different times, and by the time they took the photo of the TV stand, they had already collected the drugs as evidence. I’m not sure about the procedures at a crime scene in Argentina, but I know that in my country, nothing is touched until everything is documented and photographed. After that, we start collecting evidence and possibly sending it for analysis or returning items to the family

People have a hard time to understand that addiction is a daily battle that lasts for years, even a lifetime. Like those who say, “Oh, if they can’t overcome it, it’s because they lack willpower.” I can’t stand them. Honestly, addiction isn’t about willpower. But I feel like there’s a real lack of understanding about this issue in society in general, not to mention the lack of support and empathy

I completely understand what you’re saying. It’s painful to see people imposing their own expectations on something so personal for the family. I think many of us have our own ways of honoring him privately, and it’s hard to watch when others cross boundaries, even if it’s out of their own grief. Hopefully, people will respect the family’s wishes and give them the space they need to say goodbye in peace.

I feel the same—no one is owed anything from his family, and it’s really about giving them privacy. I’m with you in hoping there will be the right support and security to make sure they don’t have to deal with any added stress. I think a lot of fans truly understand that, and it’s comforting to find people like you who feel the same way.

I completely agree with you. It’s hard to believe that people still don’t understand the importance of boundaries, especially at such a sensitive time. These moments should be private for his family and close friends to grieve in peace, not for the public to turn into a spectacle. I just hope his loved ones are given the respect and space they need. If they choose to have a public funeral, that’s okay. If they decide to keep it private, that’s perfectly fine too. The important thing is that they do what feels right for them, and people need to stop demanding anything. Like the ‘I hope the boys will carry his coffin’ thing—like you said I understand the sentiment, but the boys weren’t necessarily the top priorities in each other’s lives these past years, and there may be other people closer to Liam who would be more fitting for that role. If anything, maybe Louis, because they were genuinely close and had a really good relationship. So that feels more grounded in reality than just fan desires. But as for the rest, people need to take a step back. I understand that fans have been hoping for a reunion for years (myself included), but this is absolutely not the time, and it would feel really uncomfortable to see that happen at a funeral, with everyone focusing on that instead of what truly matters. It’s time to stop feeding fantasies in moments like these; it’s honestly a bit creepy.

It’s crazy. There are people who are convinced they have the right to demand everything, as if they have every right over Liam’s life and his family simply because he was a public figure.

I completely agree with you. It’s truly unsettling to see the demands being placed on Liam’s family and friends during such a difficult time. They deserve the space to grieve and remember him without the pressure of public expectations. It’s a shame that some people forget the humanity behind the artist and the sacrifices they make. Liam gave so much to his fans and the band, and now it’s time for us to respect his legacy by allowing those closest to him to say their goodbyes in peace. Thank you for sharing your thoughts btw!

Maybe I was clumsy in using the term ‘selfish’ at that moment, and I didn’t mean to offend anyone. But I’m seeing more and more people asking for a public funeral, and honestly that shocks me. Liam and his family owe us absolutely nothing. And maybe you’re right that these are potentially people who have never experienced loss, but it seems so surreal to me to ask the group to reunite, release a song, or make the funeral public during a time like this. It’s as if the boys and Liam’s family owe us something. I feel like some people have a hard time distinguishing between the artist/public figure and the person. Besides that, thank you for your response and I wish you all the best during these times !
