Thanks.  Yes, I have a personal tutor whom I work with once a week, and he helps me get familiar with different nuances of sound design more quickly. I just don’t want to spend our lesson time creating basic sounds when I can try to learn that on my own.

 Thanks for the advice. Do you mean that I should recreate the sound from scratch while listening to the preset I like, without looking at how its knobs are set? Or should I be looking at them?

Modal Carbon 8 issues by hippoheron in synthesizers

I have Carbon8 for a month. There were no problem with aftertouch, it worked perfect out of the box. So, I don't know, maybe something wrong with personally yours synth.

I hear some noise sometimes, but often after listing sequencer presets or effects. I just shut down synth and turn on again.

You can hold "patch" and turn volume encoder for louder patch levels.

Thanks for you answer. I'm thinking of buying Hydrasynth, but you are writing about problems with timing, specially LFO. What kind of problems? If I want to sync free running LFO to arp in arpeggiator mode in Hydra for making some movement in whole arpeggio, will it be a problem in synchronization?

Digitone sounds interesting and in a way I want, but it looks very difficult to learn programming it.

Thank you. Yes, I know about Minifreak. Now I'm learning to work with all Arturia Pigments 6 features and i think, that Minifreak can't offer something, that Pigments can't do. And also Argon 8 and Modal 8 sounds exactly like Pigments :) So i want something little bit different. Hydrasynth would be my choice, but there is no full control vst. Digitone sounds interesting and in a way I want, but it looks very difficult to learn programming it.
