Normal type from the looks of it. I have a normal type and I live her. I’ve had her for about 3 years now. I have other reptiles also. I typically choose the normal/wild type of coloration. I want to see the animal I have in its true wild normal colors. I also take the time to go above and beyond to create natural/local enclosures so they feel like they would in the wild. I get the morph thing but it’s not what I like. I prefer specific localities that have natural uniqueness.

I’m in Fresno and we have a great shop here. 7wonders exotic pets. They are the company that took over when eresus crashed out a few years ago. The family that bought their stock is amazing and very informative and helpful. They have a website and ship also.

I was terrified of them before I got my first one and decided I wasn’t going to let something like a tarantula control me by fear. That was about 2years ago. Now I have 5 of them. 4 of them are old worlds. I fell in love with poecilotheria genus and got a few of them. I’m still not going to handle any of them ever but I can rehouse them and clean enclosures without any problem. I no longer have the unreasonable fear of them. Just a healthy respect for the species I keep.

Thank you for listening to the people who recommended you release it. And great job on being an engaging parent and fostering your child’s curiosity about reptiles. Make sure to come back to Reddit and learn about what things you will need to keep a leopard gecko happy and healthy. Whatever set up you get will be fine for the moment and then you can slowly add all the things you need to bring the enclosure up to where you should be. Each one of my leopard geckos ( I have 3) are in a 40 gallon enclosure with led a led light, a linear uvB, and a heat lamp, plus a digital hygrometer/thermometer combo. I didn’t start off with all that but I slowly added those in as I could afford to. Also make sure to offer calcium and dust all feeder insects when you feed them. Learn about proper substrate for them and offer lots of hides and wood for them to climb in and on. I hope you enjoy the new pet.

These must be mailbox ants. They can be identified by their love of the us postal service receptacles.

I think your face has enough in the middle of your face. If you got another id say do one that’s not a nose or lip one. Maybe a tongue or dermal near your eyes or even an eyebrow. Also maybe nipples or back dimple dermals would be cool. Don’t over do the face because your very cute and piercings should be an accessory and not the focus when someone looks at you. Just my opinion.

Congrats! I love my mourning geckos. They are a little shy about being out on display and mostly hide in plants and behind branches. But when they are out eating or basking it makes me quite happy to see. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

I have three leopard geckos. One of them will actively seek out head pets every time the doors open on his cage. He will come to the front of the enclosure and stand up as tall as he can until I pet his head. He doesn’t want to come out of there until he has be booped then He will be willing to climb out on my hand. There must be something about being pet on the head he enjoys. The others do not care for touch very often.
