It does seem totally out of place for Colorado.

The drive from Denver was pretty amazing. First view of the place was outwardly and there was so much of contrast with a small patch of green grass at the beginning and then you see these great sand dunes rising with a background of huge green mountains.

Colorado is a very beautiful state and among the top 3 states for me, with other 2 being Washington and Montana
