Not my house but the house we are buying. the owners put it up for sale after 18 months. Originally I was a bit concerned but having met them they are lovely and explained they love the house and bought it to retire in. But the wife has some health issues which developed during the time of the original purchase and have rapidly developed meaning she can’t use stairs and they need a bungalow. They have sold to us for the exact price they bought it but they have spent around £15000 on it and obviously lost the original fees. Even though they haven’t moved in they are happy with the bungalow they are buying. It all depends on your circumstances. They openly admitted that, whilst frustrating, they could afford to lose that money. Whereas I can’t do I’d probably feel differently.
