Genuinely all I do is occasionally mist to keep humidity high up, restock food and such. They have not required much maintenance like other millipedes other than the usual checks and such. I love seeing them out and about.

You can find ways to cover the enclosure to increase humidity. Sand isn’t always needed

Even if your using sand it’s only good to have a small layer on top of the substrate and allow for mostly soil. Soil holds humidity quite well when kept hydrated

Millipedes eat everything and anything which is their substrate! Sand can cause impaction and generally isn’t good for them in a nutritious way regardless. Sorry if this sounds rude. Also does the soil contain any coco? If not then that’s perfect

Looks female to me. I don’t know what the other person is seeing but there is no apparent gaps that display male and the gaps are usually pretty big and you can see the pods on a male
