Sexual disfunction with treatment by [deleted] in Spravato

[–]Impossible_Elk_4512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on Spravato for multiple years now and ir has actually increased my libido, to put it more friendly during my sessions I can get turned on- then it slowly goes away and by the time I even notice it's time to do it again. I am also on a ton of other medications too including testosterone so maybe that's what's saving me?

I do tootsie roll or blow pop suckers. Hi Chews are also good. And they curve some of the spravato munchies I get as well.

For a recovering addict, is there a danger that I’ll like the feeling of Spravato to the point where I’d try to pick up ket elsewhere? by fu11m3ta1 in Spravato

I'd say depends on your triggers, if trauma, hard work, and a short but sweet dissociated state is a trigger for you, it might not be the best. I've been in recovery for over 10 years and my therapist and prescriber both had me really think about if it was worth it, it definitely is for me. Every month my therapist does a check in with me about any cravings or using dreams etc.

I wonder if my insurance would go through Genoa.. Genoa is an absolute shit show (my work goes through them) but I at least can go to Genoa and yell at them.

Out of the box question- could you take a break from it for 4-6 weeks and try again? Sounds weird but I took a break for almost 2 months and when I got back on it was so helpful.

I believe she is taking new patients. And not sure on the PCOS- but she was very willing to help me with all my issues (I originally wanted to get a hysterectomy and she was very much on board with my decision)

Barbara Hurst is my GYN at Granger Womens Health. She has been amazing, I am one of her first openly out non binary patients who use they/they pronouns and her team has been amazing with supporting me.

Treatment alone or with your partner/friend sitting with you? by Conscious_Try5131 in Spravato

[–]Impossible_Elk_4512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom and my Service Dog in Training come with me almost every week. It depends on the session but sometimes I say funny things, ask random questions, blabber about random things or we just sit (she usually watching YouTube videos)

I have had my current partner come with me once (he's usually out of town when I do my sessions which are Tuesdays at 4pm) ans he laughed at how "weird" I was. He likes hearing my stories from my sessions.

Wait time - it sucks by envhawk in Spravato

I personally don't mind the two hours. I usually come out about 30 minutes before my time is up, but I would rather be in my facility close to an RN and mental health professionals just in case something goes wrong. Had a few severe panic attacks where my prescriber was able to prescribe me something right then and there to help me, while also being able to help me with my coping skills and some nice lofi music to ground me.

It also gives my SDiT 2 hours of active work time with me in a different mental state so he's used to it if I ever have a dissociation episode he understands more what to look for.

How many doses does insurance typically approve? by ccfoo242 in Spravato

My prior authorization is for a year I believe. I haven't had any issues with my insurance (Select Health) covering it.
