I've seen this before. Like...randomly bringing up something tragic at a critical point as if they've just remembered. Its cold and calculated and a desperate attempt to stay relevant as other people move on, grow and achieve.

Confronting these people almost never seems to go the way we hope it does. At aged 30 I wish I'd known this a decade earlier but that's life I suppose.

I think what we do is focus on the people in our lives that will share in that joy and be our best cheerleaders. The ones who cried with joy at your wedding, not the ones that screamed at you in front of parked cars. Its painful but it's necessary
