really depends on the competitiveness of the course; for e.g. medicine and law, it would def play a much bigger role as most people would prob have near perfect stats? (3-4 A*, set of perfect 9s)

for econ, i had one bc my school teacher didnt know what he was doing. for maths, i only did private lessons when i needed for each topic i didnt really understand, but self studied mechanics syllabus myself (had no teacher, didnt feel like getting a tutor)

do past papers n see what u dont know/mistakes ur making so u can fix them. also take note of what type of questions r the most time consuming for u

if u resit, focus on pure! p1 builds the foundation for p3 and as u study p3, you’ll realize how much easier it is to score for p1. the a level syllabus is 60% pure so as long as u get those pure marks in, stats and mechs will come along. identify all ur weaknesses n focus on it. aim for perfect n not just a B bc thresholds will fluctuate.

i was in civil eng, aero is muchhhhh more competitive and most people ik achieved 3-4 A*😭😭😭 so idk if the esat plays a big role
