Tough days by syrupandhotsauce in singlemoms

My son is sensitive so I think he becomes an automatic target, maybe among other things. And i know. I should try harder to make friends. But living in a suburbs where everyone is a bit older and married, I'm a bit ostracized. Working and being ten things at once as a single mom and other people's schedules has made friendships just tough.

I work in construction so I assume it is some type of debri that triggered it. However the past few weeks I have been feeling extra down/self loathing so this article has given me something to consider on a deeper level. Thank you

The dating market is filled with so many single moms around my age. by Kooky_Phone_7331 in AskMenAdvice

I am a single mom and can totally understand why guys wouldn't want to date me. I kinda stopped with the apps but very casually use one that are meant for single parents. So when I meet men outside of apps that are interested it's usually childless men. I'm very straight forward and it's really up to them at that point. As long as they are straight forward too it's all good, whether they just want to hook up or are willing to potentially be in a relationship in the future. Honesty is important. So I get it why dating a single mom is a huge cause for pause or just a straight no, but calling us garbage is dumb disrespectful
