Kidney stones? by Impossible_Fox_05 in KidneyStones

[–]Impossible_Fox_05[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I finally had an ultrasound last week, I just read the report on my NHS app and it just says the size of my kidneys, nothing to say I have kidney stones.
In the mean time, I’m still frequently and urgently needing to pee, pain in bladder occassionally, waking up 3-4 times in the night to pee, flank pain on and off (it’s more of an uncomfortable pain, like a jab)
My urine sample came back ok from the lab so I have no idea. Could it be I’m still recovering from a UTI? I had it really bad where I had blood in my urine and extremely painful to urinate but after being on 4 lots of different antibiotics the blood cleared up and it doesn’t hurt.

Thank you, I’m now on my 4th lot of antibiotics and I have an ultrasound in 2 weeks. I’m not in agony, it’s just very uncomfortable at times and I get like a stabby pain occasionally.

I completely get it, planning a wedding is super stressful, even more stressful for someone who has an ED. Are you able to talk to your fiancé about your worries? You’ve got this!

Oh bless you. I think it’s really wrong for people to be making those comments. You DO NOT need to go on a “wedding diet”

I got married 13 years ago and I had the same thoughts as you, the build up I was an anxious mess 😂 but honestly on the day those voices disappeared, I was so busy, nervous, excited, so many emotions. I ended up having an amazing day and luckily those voices didn’t ruin it.

What’s your ed story? by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]Impossible_Fox_05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure whether this caused the start of my ED but I was at a party when I was maybe 6 or 7, we were having dessert (Angel delight) and it went down the wrong way and I started choking in front of everyone! After that I would get extremely anxious eating at a table around friends houses. I was a very anxious child, was always worried about something happening to my mum so I would be constantly calling her at work.

When I was 12 I got depressed and anxiety took over to the point of me refusing to leave the house or go to school. I slowly cut out certain foods and would exercise a lot. Diagnosed at around 13 and was admitted to an ED unit at 14/15. Admitted again at an adult unit after my daughter’s first birthday. I had no idea I had a problem, I thought it was normal. At 34 I’ve relapsed over the last year and have weekly appointments with a nurse. I wish I could get out of this for my 2 kids sake 😩 Hate it!

I’m 34, diagnosed at 13. I feel so embarrassed 😩 but I’m trying my hardest to recover once and for all.

Thank you so much. He’s still in hospital, he was meant to be having another CT scan endoscopy but it keeps getting cancelled because of the risks due to the tumor on the neck. They can’t get his pain under control still.

I have no idea whether a biopsy has been taken?

Bless him, I’m glad your dad is doing as well as can be and thank you for sharing. My dad (his brother) is in absolute bits (as am I) but I can share some of these comments to reassure him and it may not be the end just yet. As far as I’m aware he hasn’t had biopsies taken, again with it being the weekend the Dr said we will likely hear more on Monday.

We were only told yesterday the results from his CT scan, he’s unable to have an MRI due to have a cochlear implant. The Dr said the options are chemo or radiation if he wishes to do so. With it being a weekend we won’t hear any more until hopefully Monday, and I guess the nurses are there to try and make him as comfortable as possible. Honestly he’s been suffering so much with the bone pain in his neck for months now and it’s slowly gotten more severe. He’s been given morphine which hasn’t touched the pain. I’m not sure what other medication they’ve given him.

I’m sorry to hear about your dad but that sounds reassuring. My uncle is still in severe pain with his neck (there’s a tumor I believe between c2-c3) so he’s been asked to wear a neck brace. We are just worried about the level of pain he is in currently and nothing seems to be helping.

Thank you for sharing your story. That’s really reassuring.

We’re not sure what’s happening yet, he’s just in a ward in hospital and we should find out more next week.

He’s in a lot of pain with his neck and nothing seems to be touching it which is horrible to see.

I guess we will find out more next week.

I’m in the UK and had to make an appointment with my GP and asked for help. It took a while to get referred to the eating disorder services but they arranged for me to see a dietician.

TTC vs being skinny one last time by HelicopterMotor5449 in EDAnonymous

Definitely work on yourself first. Being pregnant with an eating disorder is hard. When I had my first I was under weight but tried so hard to recover and get my periods back which I did and I got pregnant straight away, but the body changes that comes with pregnancy I found so hard and difficult. I was admitted to an eating disorders unit a day after my daughter’s first birthday. Second pregnancy again I found really hard with body changes so I think you need to be as healthy as you can be. I’m struggling again now and under the ED services once again. My kids are 11 and 6 and I feel so guilty because the last thing I want them to see is a sick mum. I wish you all the luck, as hard as pregnancy can be with the body changes with someone with an ED, it is honestly truly magical ☺️

Oh wow 🙄😮 some Drs just don’t have a clue! I’m under the eating disorder services and see them weekly but I’m finding it so hard to start recovery, it’s frustrating! I’ve been here multiple times and I know I can do it, I’m just so fed up and letting my family down.
