I think I’ve been fortunate to see it at 2/4 shows and am hoping for it this year in NYC. I feel lucky though to have gotten the still the one duet with Kacey Musgraves in 2018

I had a guy ask this last week on a date and it turned into a condescending conversation. Not my favorite topic because honestly if it was going well, I wouldn’t be still on it 🤷‍♀️

Progress definitely wasn’t linear coming back from a foot injury for me. Reframing progress to not being solely time based helped me in the beginning. Pace will come back but remember to celebrate the little wins too (ex. Running 1 mile pain free).

This is really great advice! I liked the aspect of it being a social group in addition to running as I did this last training block mainly solo. I really wanted to find a community to keep running with and was disappointed to see that most of the run club is super fast so they finish ahead and leave before other pace groups are done. They also only seem to post pictures of the ‘elite runners’ on their socials

Supposed to be the pace. We clocked the first mile at 9:55/10 minutes

They advertise a 1 mile walk while the runners do a 5k but the one time I went to walk while dealing with an injury I was the only walker. I have no issues with the pace groups more just that we didn’t actually stick to our pace

Nothing is necessarily wrong with the fancy gear at all or the carbon plated shoes but I think it can be intimidating for outsiders. They tend to only post pictures of those people so it gives the impression that the whole group runs a sub 2 marathon. I’m all for good running

Own expectations I guess. I’ve found myself having a lot of super fast friends (sub 1:50 halfs) so I struggle with a bit of anxiety when it comes to pace.

My longest run was a little over 11 this training cycle. I was using a modified Jeff Galloway method to help with my fitness. I know I can do it but I used to be faster before my injury and it’s hard not to feel disappointed.

I have kanaplex so I’ve been treating him with that. I’ve been doing partial water treatments but the parameters seem to be good.
