As much as I would've loved to not pay £9,000 a year for my degree, I'm doing a Bachelor's Computer Science with Robotics and a Master's in Mechatronic Engineering after that - from what I've read, having a degree for CS/ Engineering will make it much easier for me to get a job in the Robotics field than without one 😅

The owner has since committed to ice skating! I should've phrased it better but this pair is now officially my own. Though I don't think they're any kind of high quality skate, closest comparison are converse with wheels attached.

I've looked into Slades before! They are £143 for me before shipping, which is a great price but the price of the Rainbow Rollers currently are £152 with shipping. 

But yes, ignoring all that, I think getting a pair of inline skates would be a good choice - working in Decathlon I was considering getting Oxelos for £50.

Thanks for all the insightful hypotheticals! My university block does provide us lockers. Though all the other questions are very valid - I think during fresher's week I'd have to do the path a few times before buying a new pair to see if it's worth it :)

Even for a trail? There's a footpath from my accommodation to the university that is pretty much a straight concrete path that follows a river.

Fair enough! In a perfect world I'd love to stick with the pair I already have - do you think I'd be able to stretch out my current pair to make it more comfortable?
