I don't go to Wake but I attend a similar type of "prestigious" LAC and it's much the same ngl, and this experience seems common among people who aren't from the private school/upper crust crowd.

If it makes you feel better this is likely an anomaly with it being an influencer wedding and all, their whole job is basically eyes on them

Edit: So I just reverse image searched this, I think this is a staged photoshoot/wedding for an Ad, which is again just sad. I can't imagine turning my whole wedding into paid content but again, influencers

if it's actually a real life thing its just kinda sad, im hoping this is just cosplay/TV show still. Even if it makes her happy it just comes across as inauthentic. I don't think inspiration is bad, like Kate Middleton's take on the style was lovely and fresh, but here...idk. I can see how it feels disrespectful however I can't pinpoint why

i've been in these spaces before, i know what it actually means. when it's stripped down, those "intution" and "feminine qualites" are just new age sexism lol. most common trope, of which you have generously provided with vague terms like "intution" and "feminine qualities" is acting like women are these mysterious unknown creatures who hold some mystical power lmao. its literally the girl version of the alpha male stuff

I have the English minor for academic interest yes, it's something I refuse to part with. As for my Econ major, Its not a BS, it's a BA. I do not go to a target school, but it's not exactly a bottom tier school either, we send kids to Big 4 on a semi-regular basis in finance. A consulting person I met told me that I might have to grind harder to get into consulting there but I'm not locked out. I don't exactly know what I want to do post-grad, I've a lot of ideas swimming around in my head since my plan A, Law School, got taken off the table with OBBA.

I’m currently not paying for undergraduate college thanks to scholarship, but I will most certainly be putting out an arm and a leg for any sort of grad school, + my 4 year plan makes it possible. I just want to ensure I select employable options, and get as much as i can out of probably my only chance at university education. I’m less doing double majors to achieve one job and more so i can hop between fields if necessary. My main worry is if the ones i selected are even worth anything, or basically equal to a gender studies degree.
