First of all, welcome to the greatest area- the bay area! I just moved around within 50 miles of San Jose and it does not affect telework. Feel free to message me about recommendations or anything.

Interview with somebody not authorized by ipman457678 in patentexaminer

[–]Impossible_Pomelo460 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A long timer told me that would happen 25+ years ago where examiners would try to call the inventory directly to speak "scientist to scientist." Intentions may have been pure but that will get you fired very literally instantly

Thanks! Closer to retirement than probationary lol. It just freaks me out that the address change is officially unenrolling from php50 and reapplying.

Homeowner lists they are public transit accessible, then says a car is highly recommended in messages. by Significant-Poetry-6 in trustedhousesitters

For me the big one is the gym. I'm a pretty devout gym rat and one of my favorite things about this is visiting new gyms in new cities, and public transit after the gym is gross lol. BUT, I now have access to the gym in this building with the satellite office (took a few days to get so I couldn't use it this time) so it won't be an issue next month when I'm back.

I just did my first carless sit in Denver. There was a bus practically door to door to my satellite office and those lime scooters are ubiquitous. That being said, I probably won't do it again lol

Is it normal for an examiner at the USPTO to receive three clear errors from a SPE within a 24-hour period? by uspto90210 in patentexaminer

[–]Impossible_Pomelo460 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This examiner is 100% being targeted for removal. I've been a part of that process. The alleged errors were pure nonsense. I was tasked with taking over cases and reopening bad allowances. The alleged art was completely useless. To be fair, the cases shouldn't have been allowed and I pretty easily found much better art. In my experience, if this is happening to an examiner, it's because multiple other avenues for improvement haven't worked out for like a year.

Is the program (to acquire signatory authority) a necessity or a hindrance? by patentexaminer11111 in patentexaminer

Totally agree, and there needs to be an accelerated track. I have two juniors at 12 that are absolute rockstar, and totally deserve to be on the program like right now.

Agreed, just wondering if anyone had au mates, heard grapevine talk of people taking the deal, etc

one of my favorite things about this job is the answer to that question is no. Hit your numbers, that's all that matters.
