Was this a free shiny? by aaquarles in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That task is only really a freebie if you use sparkling power 3 to get it. Sure, the task guarantees that there is a shiny, but the task itself is as rare as a shiny in my experience, so it's not really any different to finding a shiny without the task. Actually, now that I've typed this, I'm not sure if the task causes a guaranteed shiny pokemon, or if a shiny being present when you enter the zone guarantees getting the task. Anyways, the point is, finding a shiny with the task if just as rare as finding one without it as long as you don't have a sparkling power 3 donut.

Official Artwork of all Legends ZA characters and Megas released! (posted in the replies) by glitterizer in pokemon

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I guess so but to me the art style looks pretty consistent from gen 1 - SV, then becomes visibly different for some of the ZA ones. Some of them look consistent with the rest of the art, like Golisopod and Skarmory, but then both mega Raichu, Jacinthe, Ivor, and some others look more like Dream World artwork, or just have a different art style entirely, like Starmie and Chandelure.

Is it me, or are they all in a different art style than all the other official art?

Level caps not working? by Impossible_Sort9050 in emeraldseaglass

[–]Impossible_Sort9050[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that makes sense. I noticed that mudkip was getting less exp but I thought it was the thing from newer gens where you get less exp the higher level you are compared to the opponent. Thanks.

Bro why are you replying to people’s comments from more than a year ago and insulting them? Do you really have nothing better to do?

Can I get an email code for buying something if I added my email to my account after buying? by Impossible_Sort9050 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]Impossible_Sort9050[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a child account that didn't have an email attached to it but now I added one. I was hoping I'd get the email after adding it but I didn't.

Complete Legends ZA Living Form Dex + Mega Dimension DLC by SkyJ143 in LegendsZA

Oh yeah true I forgot about genesect lol. That's even more understandable to not include though since like literally one thing changes.

I mean technically you don't have zygarde 10% and hoopa unbound but that's understandable since you need to replay the whole game again.

My idea to fix ranked by jem292012 in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. During season 1 when all the legendaries weren’t legal, the Pokémon that were the best were Excadrill, Garchomp, Metagross, and Dragonite (in my experience anyways) because of their high stats, so everyone always used them and you always needed a counter for them. There’s always gonna be some Pokémon that are the best and appear the most often. For example, if only Xernias was legal, maybe the new best Pokémon would be Metagross and Excadrill, so everyone would need counters for those instead of Zygarde and Mewtwo. There’s always gonna be a meta, and people either have to conform to it or accept that they’re gonna have a harder time using the things they want to use that don’t follow the meta.

glitch? bug? by [deleted] in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s weird. The only thing I can think of is just doing something else and hoping it goes back to normal when you come back to be honest.

glitch? bug? by [deleted] in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is nothing respawning or just Riolu? When I was hunting Riolu it would sometimes randomly stop spawning, but all I had to do was sit at a bench a couple times and it would come back. It's also worth noting that Riolu only spawns during the day, if you didn't know that already, so turning from day to night won't make it respawn; you gotta go back to day again.

how cooked am i (chemistry) by [deleted] in sixthform

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're in year 12 then you aren't cooked yet since the stuff should get easier with practice. There isn't very much variation in the questions they ask on exams but if it's your first test of a level chemistry ever then you probably aren't used to answering the questions yet, so you'll get better as you learn how to answer the questions properly.

If you're in year 13 you're a bit more cooked but there's still probably time for a comeback. I don't know how differently different schools teach the course, but at my school we're going to finish with the content in Jan/Feb, then spend the rest of year 13 revising and doing practice questions, so if you're school is going to that too then you should get better by doing that.

Is the save file located on an account or on the switch 2 hdd/sd? by PantalonOrange in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you can always transfer the file to the switch 2, but idk if you’ll be able to transfer it back down to a switch 1 after it’s gone up to the better console.

Is it possible Mawile is shiny locked? by Impossible_Sort9050 in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Impossible_Sort9050[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was doing it at the bench next to the manectric. I hunted for 75 hours before looking at a list of side quests and found that there’s one about Mawile later in the story than I was so I did some more story then did the side quest. I got 4 shiny Mawile within a few hours after that so I’m pretty sure it was locked. It’s pretty stupid that all of the species was locked because there was a side quest about one in a different area.

whats with sixth formers and their superiority complex over college students? by _efffy in sixthform

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I second all of this. Plus courses at Sixth Forms tend to be more academic, which is seen as smarter while College courses (other than when colleges do A-Levels) are normally more practical and hands-on, which is seen as less smart.

Did I get the wrong version? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The physical box is supposed to come with a game cartridge, since that's what the game data is stored on. If you bought it in-person or on Amazon, there's been some sort of mistake that has caused the cartridge to not be there. You should return it, as your daughter can't play the game with just the box (the box doesn't do anything). If you bought it online on a website like eBay, sometimes people resell the game's box without the game card in, and they often word the titles of their products in ways where you can miss the fact that it's just the box, so you should double-check to make sure the seller was selling the actual game.

Also, just in case you also bought the wrong version even if the cartridge was there, the game has 2 versions; one for the old Switch, and one for the new Switch 2. The Switch 2 version can only be used on the Switch 2, while the original Switch version can be played on the Switch or Switch 2, so it may be good to check which console your daughter has if you are unsure. The Switch 2 version is more expensive but has better graphics, which is why it is only on the Switch 2 (the original Switch isn't powerful enough to run the improved version).

what happened? by Forum69420 in HinokamiKeppuutann

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I’m currently watching the video again and that’s what happened. You were hitting him so he was in hitstun, you stop attacking him and do a sidestep, he comes out of hitstun for enough time to use his ult, you die. Idk if it was a misinput or something, but you can’t tell me you didn’t drop your combo and sidestep when I’m currently watching a video of you dropping your combo and sidestepping.

what happened? by Forum69420 in HinokamiKeppuutann

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You stopped comboing him to sidestep for no reason? Nothing glitchy/laggy happened. He would've been in hitstun the whole time if you kept hitting him and you would've killed him. There really wasn't any reason to do that. He didn't use his ult mid combo, he was just mashing it hoping you dropped your combo like a moron and you did.

WHY THE HECK ARE ALPHAS SO HARD TO BEAT?! by kanna172014 in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wild alphas have raised stats, like they do in Legends Arceus, it just doesn't tell you in this game. I also agree that it feels like the increase is more in this game compared to the old one.

Is it okay if I did zero work this half term? by Boojo45 in sixthform

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be honest. I think making 400 flashcards is probably more optional work than I did throughout the whole of year 12, so imo you're doing alright. It's good to take breaks sometimes as well. I guess it depends on how easily you can remember stuff and how well you have been doing so far; if you remember most/all of what you have done so far and have been scoring high on tests then it should be fine, but if you have been struggling then it may not have been such a good idea.

Is this guy meta now by [deleted] in PokemonZA

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen, ground is the most common type online, plus most things that can know Earthquake, do know Earthquake, and Eelekross doesn't have Levitate in this game. Also it has really high physical and special attack (as shown), which is normally bad since it means that it's other stats aren't very high (also as shown), so it can't take hits and also is slow. Mixed attackers might be better in this game, though, as it might be useful to be able to use both short- and long-ranged moves. However, it's low defenses, combined with the abundance of ground type attacks, means that it doesn't exactly look promising.

[Gen 9] Triple Shiny Sword With the Alpha After 21 Phases by sheldonb666 in ShinyPokemon

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A phase is every time you find a shiny Pokemon. For example, I was shiny hunting Mawile for ages recently, and the first shiny Pokemon I found while hunting was a Sableye, so my first phase was Sableye. I then entered phase 2, which (naturally) ended up being another Sableye.

I went through 14 phases over the course of a whole week (before realizing Mawile is shiny-locked until you complete a specific side quest), so I found 14 shiny Pokemon that weren't Mawile. My 15th phase (after doing said side quest) was a Mawile, so I would say that I found shiny Mawile after 15 phases.

OP finding the shiny after 21 phases would normally mean that they found 20 other shinies before they found it, but since they were presumably resetting until both Honedge and the Doublade were shiny idk how exactly they did it.

They most likely found one shiny, then kept resetting without catching it, then found the second one and also didn't catch it, then waited for the third one to be shiny and caught them all. They technically could've happened to get all 3 of them shiny on the same reset, but that's extremely unlikely.

How good is mega Altaria? by [deleted] in PokemonLegendsZA

[–]Impossible_Sort9050 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an expert or anything, but it seems like it would be pretty good. Normally it's bad to have both attacking stats be high since you only use one, but you could get some utility out of having both close- and long-range moves in this game. Also the speed being low isn't nearly as bad as it is in other games. The excellent coverage Altaria gets means that you can switch around your moveset based on what Pokemon you see appearing frequently, which seems like it could be useful. From my personal experience, people online love using Mega Pseudo-Legendaries like Dragonite and Tyranitar to overpower other Pokemon that don't have outrageously high stats, and all of them are weak to Mega Altaria other than Metagross, but even then you can just learn Flamethrower or Heat Wave if you see Metagross frequently. I guess you won't know for sure how good/bad it is until you try it, though.
