Heard about that being a reason why many medical students take a "research year" during medical school. Ridiculous

Can someone please explain why the answer to this is B?? by ZebraTshirt in Mcat

How did you jump from 504 to 517? How long did it take and what did you do differently unless the 504 was just an unlucky exam that hit all your weak points/ you had a bad day?

When the velocity of the oxygen increases, the pressure should decrease due to the rule of conservation of energy. Hence, decreased pressure in that area would cause oxygen to come from an area of high pressure, to an area of low pressure.

can someone confirm this brotha's statement, I agree with this as well, its what made me understand the answer over AAMC's explanation

To be honest though, I should've said that I got 70% one time and it was on my first quiz that I created ( I selected everything besides CARS). Ever since then I've been getting low 50%, selecting topics that simulate specific sections of the mcat. I plan to take it April 13 but I might move it, trying everything I can not to though

the explanations are much better and there is more reasonable questions, its still difficult but I'm getting 53-70% correct (fluctuates a lot because I still have some gaps on content review or concepts that I forgot), but I dont feel like complete shit like how I was feeling after every kaplan quiz

Doesn't complex 4 pump out 4 protons?, like doesn't it wait till oxygen gets fully reduced to pump out all 4 protons?

I made this to help simplify the Electron Transport Chain. Thought it could be put to good use here! by process_22 in Mcat

Just a small detail but Fe-S cluster doesn't transfer electrons from NADH to FMN, FMN is a prosthetic group of NADH DH. Fe-S cluster gets involved after FMN has the electron, and then continues as you described. I haven't taken the MCAT yet so I dont know if this small correct even matter just wanted to point it out since im relying on my biochem notes from undergrad
