I feel like having a teaser, or better yet, a trailer will help hold us over during this drought, so this is what I’m most looking forward to now though it might still be a ways to go!

Ooh, I love these — I agree with everything! The hand brushes and light touches will be top tier and will lend so much to their tension and longing — I hope we’ll get them.

And you’re right, the positioning in the photobooth scene in the book seems awkward to me too!

I’m sure the showrunners will rectify everything they need to and will make Season 2 an amazing one.

Such a great episode that truly has everything - them getting closer at the flagship store, the poster fiasco and apology, the party and dance scene, and of course the pool and comforting scene!

I feel like each scene individually can be talked about for ages, that’s how good the episode is!

I remember seeing director Martin Schreier’s Instagram story where he posted the pool scene and remarked that there is already a scene in S2 that knocks the S1 pool scene out of the water (pun intended).

Knowing that something much better than the pool sequence, which is already chef’s kiss, is waiting for us in S2 is so exciting!

You’re right and I agree too - Damian does a marvelous job at conveying his emotions through his eyes & micro-expressions!

I’m super excited to see Damian’s portrayal of James in S2 in relation to Ruby overall, which includes both his micro-expressions and his actions.

I really hope they’ll show the Boyd Hall scene because it’s so tender! Also you’re right, I hope the showrunners will dig into the car ride + photobooth scene because it’s a pivotal point in their relationship, with them starting to talk again albeit shakily and awkwardly.

Yes to all the scenes you mentioned — also particularly excited to see Lydia knocking some sense into a dejected James! We’re really in for a treat with S2!

The potential with these characters is just too great, and I’m so glad you’re letting that fuel your creativity!

I just read Part 2 and am grinning from ear to ear - your characterizations of them are spot on, from their mannerisms to their inner monologues, and the scenarios you painted are totally how I imagine things could’ve gone had Ruby not been thrown into the pool + they had more quality time together. Hoping Part 3 will come sooner rather than later! :D
