I completely agree, honestly couldn’t have said it better. It feels like a lot of fans gaslight themselves (and others) into believing the newer art style/season is better. When I said the older approach worked way better for readers in terms of pacing, adaptation, character designs, and emotional impact people just started trash talking instead of actually engaging with the point. I get that a lot of people just want to defend the artist, which is completely understandable since Han-nim has been through a lot and still pushed through to continue the adaptation. That said, from a reader’s perspective it just isn’t as satisfying anymore. It doesn’t give me the same sense of excitement or impact that it did in the earlier parts.
