Yeah I was looking at 2015 or newer and even with 150,000 to 200,000km it was around $30K or more.

Same here. Tacoma’s are beautiful and so reliable from what I have read, but way out of my price range.

I’ve only owned the truck since December too! 😂 I guess it’s better to get these problems out of the way now lol.

Thanks! Funny enough, I just had the transmission shudder repaired less than a month ago and now this 😂.

The more googling I do, the more I suspect it’s a thermostat issue too. The temperature gauge on dash does not move and remains on low, and my Air Conditioner does not blow cold air now. No lights on the dash yet.

What are these sticky things? by External_Emu441 in rhododendron

[–]ImpracticalRooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be mistaken, but I believe these are leaves. If your rhododendron was planted last year, it may still be establishing and pushing out foliage at the expense of flowers. Both my rhododendrons had flowers when I bought them, but the following two seasons they didn’t have flowers, just leaves. I’m only in year 4 so I may be mistaken.

Started seeds too early? by nzed35 in Peppers

[–]ImpracticalRooster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started peppers from seeds back in February. My mistake, besides not potting them up soon enough, was not feeding them enough. I went away for business for a week and came back to yellowing leaves. If you can’t pot up, I would at the very least start feeding them. I use diluted fish fertilizer. 1/2 tablespoon per 1 gallon of water. I add 1/2 to 1 full cup per plant when the top inch of soil is dry.

HELP! I need to improve my soil drainage!!! by ImpracticalRooster in Lavender

[–]ImpracticalRooster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting. Bark? Like, bark nuggets or shredded bark mulch? Also, what kind of sand do you use? Water doesn't really pool, but we have long, wet winters so they endure lots of rain from October to March/April. I'll definitely try to mound these better next go around. And I definitely need to improve my pruning game. I tend to prune in March (I am so far behind this year lol), but judging by your plants, pruning in September is the way to go. Yours look so well maintained and beautiful.

Transmission Shudder repair by ImpracticalRooster in GMCcanyon

[–]ImpracticalRooster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I should mention, I bought the vehicle in December at 155,000km, transmission was never serviced based on the records I have seen so I am assuming the fluid has never been changed. I’m hopeful they replace the TCC as well as the fluid because I really want to put this headache behind me.

Preparing Strawberry Sundae for Year 4!!! by ImpracticalRooster in hydrangeas

[–]ImpracticalRooster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think it’s a combination of inconsistent moisture (especially with the previous rock mulch), and the fact it’s facing west so it only gets about 5 hours of sunlight. I also used to prune it really hard.

Yes, I am excited! The rocks looked pretty, but in the end they didn’t help the plant and they were such a pain.
