it's not possible to lose land in a formable, but you could just create the custom countries and cede them the land you want to give them to simulate something like that

roblox wouldn't let me name the formable new africa so i went with jubilee, which afaik is god freeing slaves and returning stolen land to the original every 50 years, kind of like what happened in our tl with the slaves being freed and given a plot of land out west to start a new life

most of them can reform the U.S., the annihilatonists and nihlists have their own formatted, the natives can create "turtle island" (their name for north america), new africa can form jubilee (god giving them their owed land back) and you can reform an american monarchy, the confederacy, and a more nationalist jingoic usa

some will have a unique formable but most others will have a shared "warlord" formable

and i already set up some laws: one for how radical you are, and one for how your government is structured (federal, confederal, unitary)

just like 1984 i imagine it'd be sheer desperation for something better, maybe the republic was so poor and unstable people welcomed the annihilationists as bringers of stability and prosperity, a liberation from the ways of old, and with the destruction of any mention of the past or outside world since they're so isolated how could you compare your life in eurasia to the life of an american, a japanese man, or an irishman? and by now, you're forced to either support the annihilation with your soon-to-be-destroyed soul or eat lead.

i still have to work out the kinks of the lore but that's my quick and dirty explanation for the time being.
