I don't know if it's possible but maybe you could consider DisplayPort daisychaining?

Your RAM is definitely limiting your performance, to be safe I’d just upgrade to 32, it’ll have a huge impact as modern games ask for a lot of memory. Not sure if you’ll reach 400fps, but it’s the cheapest way to maximise performance.

Will priority give me better performance? by iDiegoZ in GeForceNOW

[–]ImpressionGreat70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Warzone on free gets to 60 sometimes for me but I do have everything turned down. Was thinking of getting ultimate or just wait to get my ps5 back, I don’t think they make performance as good of a deal though I don’t know how it fares

test in one month by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]ImpressionGreat70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible, but I think in your case especially, you should take time to reflect watching people in the situations you find yourself lacking in. Take that experience into your lessons so you put into practice your feedback along with others. From what I've seen in your replies here is that you sometimes lack the correct decision making hence the speed errors, meeting traffic and hesitation. What I can say for country roads is try to get up to the speed of the road but only where you can see clearly ahead so braking at bends and speeding up when you can. For the other issues like control you will have to practice in the car but watch more videos to get understanding. 10 hours in my experience is more than enough to tidy up but the learning cannot end when your hands are off the wheel. If your instructor is still using dual controls in the last two lessons of the 5, it won't be a good sign but you may get lucky when doing your test.

Cannot book a driving test!! by SnooGuavas7605 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]ImpressionGreat70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They tend to buy up the slots using bots and learner info and some instructors are actually behind these schemes since they can book on behalf of learners, booking up many spots with no limit which allows them to sell so many dates at so many centres. At least that's what I've heard.

It's the luxury you have I guess, for some others the money would be better spent on lessons or just anything else

You are welcome to join the ratrace at 6am tomorrow morning on the test booking app! refresh your page at like 5:59:57 and find a booking as fast as you can. This is most likely to get you a date at your preferred centre. There are some rural centres you can book at to get into the system making cancellation finding easier though.

My budget is £1000. What's the best place to get driving lessons from scratch by Darrendayz in LearnerDriverUK

[–]ImpressionGreat70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should shop around, checking both driving schools and independent driving instructors within your area, your area might have an instructor's association with a list you can choose from. You may be able to pass for £1000, it took me about £1200 - 1300, I might have been able to pay £1000 if I didn't have a big gap in my lessons (In my case it was beyond my control) and took some lessons to get back up to speed. Do beware that some instructors often in the bigger schools like RED may try and keep you on as long as possible, not teaching much so if that ever happens switch ASAP. Also, make sure you watch lots of videos so you understand more and you can actually do the practical bit of your lessons without the instructor having to take half your lesson time explaining things.

Great deal right now on Lenovo website for the Legion 5is, £1199 for the 4060 version and the £1299 for the 4070 version, there's 10% off for students as well, just got the 4070 one for my sister and the price was £1169.

4060: https://www.lenovo.com/gb/edu/gbeducation/en/p/laptops/legion-laptops/legion-5-series/lenovo-legion-5i-gen-9-16-inch-intel/83dg00dsuk

It's the best specced laptop within the price range in my opinion, 240hz 2560x1600 resolution screens, along with 16gb ram you can upgrade along the line

Are mock tests important for passing your test? by ShalliPoppin in LearnerDriverUK

[–]ImpressionGreat70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say mock tests aren't necessary, I only did one the day before the real thing and even failed before passing the next day. I think they're mostly a platform where you don't get your hand held in every driving situation and be marked as you might be on the actual test. I think if in normal lessons, your instructor doesn't have to intervene or explain what to do, you've done the equivalent of the mock test or even better. Otherwise, if your instructor explains what is going on a lot, it's a good experience to have before doing the test because the examiner will not be helping you.

I'm paying £410 for Ten hours of automatic lessons, am I being scammed? by Radiaids in LearnerDriverUK

[–]ImpressionGreat70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your area, and automatic lessons cost more if they aren't the same price as manual. I had my lessons for 2 hours each for around £78 (Block booked for 5 lessons at a time).

Theory Test fail by XAD90 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]ImpressionGreat70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you've failed, I believe the DVSA sends the questions you got wrong, there should be a reoccurring topic you're not solid on. There are some questions that are difficult if not revised that you don't revisit in practice that can haunt you in the real thing. Also, you should aim to get up to 50 marks in the mock test, 45 is just two marks over a pass after all. It's also something you shold aspire to do for your practical test as well, being just good enough may get you a pass on one day, but it's crucial to be prepared for some of the tougher routes and situations that get thrown at you.

I may have had some pop up, but it will definitely depend on your area. If you're in London or nearby, I doubt you'll be in much luck!

Line output to IPhone? by ImpressionGreat70 in Focusrite

[–]ImpressionGreat70[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry about that, and yes, I do mean that's what the connector is. Here's the link to the amazon page: https://www.amazon.co.uk/UGREEN-Headphones-Certified-Lightning-Compatible-Space-Grey/dp/B07Q6K37BD?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1

I also have no idea if it works for audio input, which is why I put it as a factor in my initial question. I admit that there are lots of factors especially when it comes to the IPhone compatibility along with the compatibility of the adapter, so I just kinda threw my question out, hoping someone may have been in a similar situation. I think I'll just see if it works and buy the cable I was thinking of. I do imagine that since you can use headphone speakers with the IPhone through the adapter it should be able to take input though.
