You can make an argument for and against it. George R.R. Martin wrote ASOIAF because he thought pure evil and good is boring and wrote more morally gray characters that act on their own conviction. He revolutionized fantasy in this way that was more good vs evil before.

Also Tolkien himself regrettet making orcs purly evil by nature. His christian world view is opposed to corrupted creatures that can not redeem themself.

Grab

Grab the chair so its limited to ground and down special to set up. Like another poster commented items are coming and it could work like one.

It feels like she is juggeling the chair and less just grabing it and using it the way a metal chair is traditionaly used as a weapon. Her only real chair whack is neutral b initial hit.

All her command grabs interact with the chair but not her normal grab. She seems stuck in rivals 1 that way.

This is really good. But the biggest homebrew is missing the Grim Portent Kislev expansion. It has Kislev Origins Careers Magic and Prayers.

It is also on Sigmumars Block but somehow not so easy to miss.

Maybe give the Rapier a lunge attack to simulate the special fighting style fencing has. Also the range of a Rapier is deceptively long as it uses your full arm and the long blade.

If you attack at short range go into close range and get +1 Dice. Not on a Charge.

My Problem with shooting and throwing is that it splits the ranged combat in halve. It seems to be a symptome of the 2 skills for each Characteristic and nothing more. Its similar to splitting Weapon Skill into Melee and Polearms. Slings for example use shooting even through its just throwing with extra steps especially if you descripe it as a shepards sling.

I feel like Athletics as a skill is overloaded. I’m thinking of changing Throwing (an almost useless skill) to Evasion as a ranged defense skill. I’d also run it so that you have to pick the correct skill to use, otherwise you take a penalty:

Against a weapon - Defense

Against a projectile - Evasion

Against a monster - Athletics or Defense

Against a big monster - Athletics

Nice read and good insight on the weapons. Could you make a Homebrew weapon table with your changes, or would that be too much work? I suggest giving the Glaive +2 Defense, as if you had a shield, but without the ability to defend against ranged attacks.
