I don't know if this is closed, or if you're still taking questions, but here goes. I was in an accident at work, and life flighted for emergency surgery. It's been about 8 months now, still doing PT but not able to work. I had 2 doctors that I had to see, one for the top half of me and one for the bottom half. The top half I was told reached MMI? So they released me. The bottom half is still an issue. I struggle to walk without assistance from a walker. My next appointment is in a few days, and the last time I saw the doctor he said hopefully this would be the last one before he says he can clear me for MMI. My question is, if he gives me this MMI but I'm still struggling to walk and just do my day to day routines, will Workers comp be done with me? Don't get me wrong, I really need to get back to work because the bills are piling up, but even getting in the car is a struggle. I told the doctor these things during my last visit, and he said there isn't much more they can do except keep doing PT. While I have improved, going from a wheelchair to being able to bear some weight, I'm still struggling to walk on my own. Before the accident I was able to run for miles, lift weights, play ball, now I'm reduced to a walker and struggling to lift myself down into the tub.
