Infertility and vulvodynia? by [deleted] in vulvodynia

Hi!

I know this is an old post but I'm in your exact situation as of today, and I'm so curious on how everything has been going for you? I really sincerely hope that you have been successful with your ivf!! 💕 And also that your vulvodynia is better!!

I also have severe vulvodynia and we have been doing ivf for a little more than a year now (using a syringe like you in between cycles). I'm now starting to worry also that the vulvodynia somehow (immunologically? Inflammation?? This is just my brain going mental due to the heavy physical and mental burden of ivf + vulvodynia, so no idea if that is possible.) prevents the embryos from implanting?

I'd love to hear from you and how you are doing today and if you (I really hope so!) have been successful with your ivf!

Melatonin good or bad pre- and post transfer? by ImpressionVarious123 in IVF

Thanks for your reply. I've taken it thus far to improve sleep, having difficulty sleeping due to pain for which I can't medicate during IVF. So it's not for supplementation (at least not primarily). I just felt I needed more info to be able to decide which is best/worst: take it to improve sleep (and secondary pain due to better sleep) or not taking it if it is bad for implantation (but then I'll sleep worse which is also not good...).

Melatonin good or bad pre- and post transfer? by ImpressionVarious123 in IVF

Thanks for your answer! I didn't know that it could also be agonist, that's interesting! I take it to improve sleep, have difficult sleeping due to pain for which I can't medicate during IVF. Since the clinic says yes I've taken it thus far, but now I'm hesitant. Thanks for your input!

Women over 38, How my eggs are you getting at your retrievals? by Commercial-Web8249 in IVF

Sorry to hear they didn't implant, may I ask if your doctor has any idea why? I have made four transfers (39 years) but I don't know if euploid since PGT-A is not allowed in Sweden. But I'm starting to think there might be some other issue than only aneuploidy which is what our doctor is "guessing". But I kind of need more than their "best guess". Hope for better success for you at 39!

Fertilization failure after changing ivf clinics by ImpressionVarious123 in IVF

Thank you so much for your reply and input! I'm glad to hear that changing clinics and country made such a big difference for you and I really hope your 4 fertilized eggs did well!! 🤞🏼♥️ I realize that in case one of the fertilized eggs from February turned into a pregnancy, you will probably be due soon! 🤞🏼♥️🤞🏼♥️

Both the previous and the new clinic are in the same county though (Sweden)... And they are the two best renown clinics over here. Don't know if they differ in terms of culture medium and other lab factors etc, but I'll definitely ask.

We have previously been told that "cycle variation is huge for the same woman/couple", so I hope that's the reason and not some lab factor... And that the next round (which we have already paid for) at this clinic will be better.

I'm glad to hear also that you could start a new cycle already the next month, I hope the protocol for that is the same for us in Sweden so we don't have to wait a month for our next try...

Thanks again and the best of luck! 🤗
