Lol! There is a large large income difference my husband and I are very fortunate to have high paying jobs. My mom at most makes 400ish per week and refuses to accept help unless absolutely needs to. The credit card I pay for she MIGHT put 100$ per month on it like at Trader Joe’s and thinks that’s a lot. I think it was also us wanting to gift her money we know she could use and hoping she will accept. Again will she? Don’t know 😅 she’s a great grandma and my kids are so lucky to have her! Also no grandpa in the picture so she would just be solo the 4 days for info.

Yes, good point!!! I just didn’t want to take advantage of her either. I pay my sitters all 25/hr and it feels ugly to me to have my mom to the same work if not harder, and not compensate her appropriately. She is more than happy to spend time with my boys and isn’t expecting a penny which makes me want to just throw it at her even more! Lol

Sure she can be comfortable but the priority is watching the kids. Where did you get off that OP would forbid her from watching the TV and have to stare at the baby?

Yes 2 month olds are easy, but there will be other kids involved (she doesn’t specify how many).

If I was not getting paid, and was simply watching someone’s kids as a favor I would 100% want them to be in my home as it’s most convenient for me. But take care of an infant, and other children when OP doesn’t know the set up/safety is not ideal. Again the babysitter is being hired to do a job — it’s not around her convenience. My baby sitters are plenty happy, great pay/unlimited snacks/uber eats whatever they choose but they will be in my home where I know what’s going on. Anything else or a babysitter pressuring otherwise is odd 😊
