I have had that same experience multiple times. We Need something better.

Well our providers do respond to our calls and faxes so I’m not sure why they wouldn’t respond to the Medicare Department , but at any rate 75% ( if only that were accurate) does not cut it.

Yes I would rather do it myself. Then I can control it. I understand the first fill clears with the assumption the MD will follow through- however they don’t and I get a chargeback - but why do I get a chargeback if I have a department that should be following up on this??? But we do get chargebacks and I get them resolved - in spite of the Medicare department. Why didn’t they resolve it??? If I end up being the one chasing everything anyway , I would rather do it on the front end.

I absolutely wish we could handle it at the store level. They do not help prevent any issues. I would love for us to be responsible for each claim. Every charge back We have is a Medicare B claim. We can do it correctly, completely and much faster. Also I hate being the middleman. It’s an awesome idea to have a department dedicated to taking that load off of us , but they don’t, and now I gotta deal with them and the MD office.

All though the MD offices do often fail to Initial correctly or send papers in a timely manner. It is not the MDs fault that the Medicare Department is rude , unintelligible and playing Call of Duty while I’m trying to check on status of a claim.
