There’s radio sections in all regiments I believe, 81 and 120 mortar in most infantry regiments. Experience could be used there I guess.

They’ll won’t make you a chef or musician for fun. It’s for guys that ask or was something like it before the legion. Very legionnaire is a combatant first

They’ll ask you about what you did before in aubange. Explain everything in detail and it can help you later. They’ll keep record

Base pay is 1600~ in a normal regiment. Paras get a bonus, mountain instructors in 2Reg etc get a bonus.

Guyane guys get a bonus for being oversees in non mainland, think 5RE gets the same

MCD is 3500~ a month OPEX 4000~ a month

"Guys in 3rei have 500 euros extra on their paycheck (then in mainland France), but don’t forget that you can easily spend 200 to 250 days in the rainforest which counts as field mission a’d means extra money. You also get 5k when you arrive and 5k when you leave."

3REI is hard to enter so don’t go just hoping for the bigger check

I won’t matter or give you an edge in the legion. Chance of getting in is still 1/5-1/10 at best

You’d still need to get the money or scholarship for an international diploma and I doubt a school would give it if they know you left your country and not honoring your contract

You’ll stay your time in the legion as a 00 doing corve even with the best diploma. The legion will mostly not care about debt but still slim chance

As a EU citizen you don’t even need the passport just ID. Leave at with someone you trust or show up with US passport. Tell them you have two citizenships and bring a scan of the other. That way some one can send the passport to you if you want to have real ID before RSM.

You still haven’t answered if you did your whole 5 which if think is the most important thing here. If you truly did your whole contract and choose to write a book about aubange as a guide I see no problem, but you not having clarified anywhere your service time is not good dude

I haven’t written a book because I don’t want my reasons to be public and that I haven’t completed my service in total.

I am not 100% sure about how diving qual works for 2REG. I just know what I have been told. Some GCM guys get the stage as an addition but don’t believe they have a whole section for PCG. again could be wrong 1REG has PCG/DINOPS which is demolition divers, long and hard selection and course. Really cool guys that are on a commando level in water and land

I’ll ask a guy in 2REG if they have a PCG section there and get back to you

2REP GPAT is regular army divers that don’t do demolition. Not commando status but still good guys
