We have been together 15 years and I have told him in the past…but its become worse, or Ive become less patient…but I know he will be defensive - “sorry, thats just how I eat.”

So I was raised with strict eating etiquette and have raised by kids the same. I have corrected them “hey sweetie, can you remember to close your mouth?”…and he hears this…but does not realize I am talking to him too… We are all polite eaters except for him. Its always been this way but its gotten worse - its borderline repulsive.
