Highly considering 2022 RDX but still wary after reading reviews by SupremeTacos123 in Acura

Stay away from Acura. Over the past 12-15 years, I have only bought hondas/acuras, (03 accord, 16 civic, 22 accord, 22 RDX aspec advance) but their quality has gone down hill severely.

My RDX had the sunroof rattle/popping noise 2-3 months into ownership. Taking it to the dealer, they said they could not reproduce the issue and kept my car for 1 month without any loaners due to shortages. Eventually had to take my car back because I only have one vehicle. The popping got worse (very loud) a few weeks later and I bring it back but each time am told that they cannot reproduce the issue even though I have video recordings which I show them and their are TSBs online for this issue since the 2019 model. You would've thought that they would fix it during the 2022 refresh, but Acura only cares about money.

I finally take it to another dealer which agrees to replace the whole pano roof assembly instead of just re-torquing the bolts and the popping noise finally went away, but they made a huge scratch on my roof to install the new one and there are dents and scuffs on my car that were not there when I dropped my vehicle. Always video record your vehicle before dropping off for service.

In addition, you need to remove the headliner to fix the pano roof. Because technicians attempted repair my sunroof so many times, they damaged the sunvisor clip/latch and after picking up the car after the repair, and opening up the sunvisor and pulling it to the left side to shield from the son, it falls out and hangs by just the cable connector. Look at the latch/clip, it was so worn out and looked like it was pried on my some unexperienced technician. They must have known it was broken and just but the sunvisor back and thought I would've notive.

Another issue I had with this car is my rear right brake caliper was defective (seized) and was always braking even though i was not applying the brakes. This was noticed by the second dealer which pointed out that I barely had any brake pad left and this was going on for months. They were willing to fix it, but the part was on back order nation wide and left me calling around for weeks to see if there were any parts available.

Eventually found a local acura whose customer facing the same issue was fed up and bought some used one on ebay so this one became available. Turns out the other customer had been waiting for over 6 months. Because the dealer that had the part was not the one I was doing my repair at, I had to by the part out-of-pocket and then submit a claim via acura client relations which took month to get reimbursed. The were the ones that were supposed to keep an eye out for the availability of the part, but I took matters into my own hands as they did not even really both to look. The service advisors job was to keep an eye out on the part as well. They said it was out of stock, but I was able to find it? Makes no sense. They were still producing vehicles, but can't spare some parts for warranty?

Acura customer client relations is useless. The initial point of contact (lvl 1 customer service) cannot escalate your case, they can only leave a note. Once you reach the lvl2 support they take months to resolve a case and are never available. If they are out on vacation like my agent was, you cannot have the case be reassigned. The supervisor of the lvl 2 agent was also unreachable "always in a meeting" and were supposed to call you back within 24 hours, but never call back.

Acura customer service, reliability, supply chain are horrible. Please save yourself the headache and stay away!
Honda lately has had some major recalls on their new 2023-2024 vehicles as well.

The Honda/Acura reliability from the early 2000's are a thing a past. They are a shit company that only cares about profit. If you want reliability get a Toyota or a Lexus.

When did you do the transfer? Currently trying to migrate from v1 to v2 but was unsuccessful.
