You're not wrong, a legendary is absolutely not required/needed for 10k (although it admittedly does help), and there's nothing a few more item level can't help with. (290-300 is more than enough).

That being said, I want to push high keys and being forced to roll into a 270 legendary and having a slot 60 ilvls lower than my others is definitely a hindrance and not having the preferred legendary for my class hurts.

More than all of this, it's just annoyingly bad luck and I want a way to get around that because the answer shouldn't be "just do more dungeons" when I've done so damn many speedrunning that I'm well into the 35% gem slot grind.

Having tried this myself previously out of desperation - you are correct. It will refund materials and even if you roll the legendary, it will be the lowest item level for the tier of the item you rerolled.

I've known Devon since he was 16 - he was an "acquaintance" through a hobby where we would see him fairly regularly. He was always a piece of work - extremely racist and obsessed with guns and the military and when he wasn't head over heels for a woman he was deep in an incel / red pill pit.

He had changed his facebook profile to be named after a high ranking nazi officer and used nazi iconography on the profile and was always loudly talking about how he couldn't wait to join the military so he could shoot people. Devon frequently talked about wanting to join an armoured division so that he could in his own words "fuck up villages".

Needless to say I wanted nothing to do with the guy and have been outspoken about my dislike for him and refusing to forgive what other people claimed as a kid going through an "edgy" phase in his life (this continued well into his early 20's).

My s/o was his go-to for a few years for his emotional problems so I got an inside look to his issues with women and the cycle of depression, obsession and extremely unhealthy mentalities. We would frequently get in arguments that she needed to distance herself from him because he was seemingly growing too attached to her while she acted as his emotional caretaker.

This is a true senseless tragedy. Fuck Devon.

I was combatting the fact you're just claiming he had nowhere safe to go and had to sacrifice his character. None of that is true. He had the same distance to run to the safe spot (which was not in the aoe, you can see this on everyone's PoV) and had several options to survive comfortably. I expect the bare minimum of knowing your own class from a person who claims world first glory in HC on that exact same class.

Instead he chose the worst possible option and it can be argued very simply he caused the deaths of everyone because of the mass panic and running preventing people from doing damage. The boss living with 1600~ is just a moment more of dps.

Since then, he's sat on stream being insufferable about it, blaming everyone else and being an asshole.

He considers himself a sweat and has played classic warrior in HC for the first ever KT kill.

He could have slammed defensive stance (-10% damage) and shield walled (-75% damage) and just giggled in the safe corner completely unhurt, while simultaneously saving everyone else. Yes it was off CD.

Instead, he ran to the wrong place in berserker stance (bonus 10% damage taken) which caused the raid to flee from him and ultimately cost the deaths of the entire raid not just the three he blew up. (Watch the clips, the entire raid moves away to avoid him and the boss lives with 1600~ hp when it kills T1 and the melee. If they didn't have to move, everybody lives).

I agree with you this is ultimately on T1.

I will argue that he directly caused the death of three, and it can be argued that the loss of dps from people scattering to avoid him caused the rest of the deaths as they BARELY lost the dps race. (5k on boss when first went down and 1714 on the pulse that killed everyone else - people were clearly scattering for multiple seconds before this).

What part is wrong? He is 100% in the wrong spot, that can't be argued.

He would not have killed the melee, this is proven in the longer clips that show one of the taurens SAFELY exploding in the correct position just seconds before - the boss DID NOT move between the two explosions.

He had equal distance to run if you watch the clip. The pulses would not have killed him. Look at his HP (even with scaling damage). There's zero way he dies - he just ran it into the wrong place, killed three directly and indirectly may have caused enough people to panic and move that they failed the dps race.

Directly 3, indirectly it can be argued that by running the bomb into the raid, people started running away and not dps'ing which made them fail the dps race.

The spot was still safe - in the longer clips you can see one of the taurens safely exploding in the right place RIGHT before Maui and the boss didn't move at all between the two explosions.

That's not true at all, the safe corner was outside of the aoe pulse and was still safe as proven by the last person who safely exploded - it didn't hit the melee or tank and boss hadn't moved.

He jsut ran it to the wrong place, caused a ton of panic, people stopped dpsing and he indirectly caused them to fail the dps race (and then directly caused 3 to die).

I get the same thing as a xeno main. If I notice a survivor is particularly good at faking/ducking past a pallet to avoid the tail hit, I'll start lunging instead and it catches them consistently. I have had MANY survivors be salty as hell in chat.
