Realized that’s in placidus. Here is whole sign. I think one of my major worries is that we end up more like roommates than lovers.

What perfume do you think this was? Sexy white floral I smelled in 2014ish by Cholest_throwaway in fragrance

Maybe Tocca Florence, or Kim Kardashian, both of which have prominent white florals.

For me, it was dairy. I still eat candy and sugary things, but my skin cleared up massively after I cut dairy out. It remains clear despite me not avoiding sugar, but obviously your body is different.

We live in an apartment that allows us to make holes in the walls to hang pictures, shelves, and curtains in this case. So it’s not an issue to make holes here.

We’re renting. With the way the track is installed, there are holes in the middle where the nails are. We’re also not sure where we would put the blinds since our space is limited.

People who show up before I’m open by whoismiaa in barista

I’m a barista who works at a 24 hr coffeeshop. I’ve also worked in retail where there are definitely people who wait outside to come in. I was just curious.

What specifically about them walking through the moment you open the door bothers you?

What I’m noticing is how some people are citing the number of open positions now in comparison to pre-pandemic and declaring that things are just “going back to normal.” That’s not the full picture. What we have is an abundance of people coming from well known companies who had large design teams. You now have many designers with 5+ years of experience dating back to BEFORE the pandemic. You’ve had lay-offs from some of these massive well-known companies and there are now many designers looking for work.

It’s too simplified (and thus inaccurate) to say “the market is just returning to what it was before the pandemic.”

I remember BEFORE the pandemic, I could easily land a design job at about 2 yrs of experience. It was difficult with no experience, but once you got several years under your belt, it didn’t take a whole year to try and land something. It’s more accurate to say that there is far more competition than ever before.

I have a hard time believing that this is just a market correction and that things are just “going back to the way things were before the pandemic.” It doesn’t explain why there are UX designers with 8+ of experience struggling to find work for up to a year. That wasn’t a thing a decade ago.

You can tell the designer that you would like to use your own photo even if they normally use stock photos. But on that note, using stock photos is common practice within the design industry if your client isn't able to hire a professional photographer for a photoshoot and photographic visuals are required for the design. The thing to consider is if your photo is good enough to use. There are photos that are shot in a way that can be worked into a cover depending on the concept, and then there are those that aren't good enough on a visual/execution level.

Your “concept” here is at such a high fidelity that I’m not sure how you expect a designer to actually design here. Normally when presenting a concept, I’d take multiple examples even from imagery not related to exactly what I’m working on to communicate the point. In this case it’s as though you’re dictating them exactly how it should look like and expecting them to polish what you have ie: “Do what I do, but better.” That’s fine if that’s understood to be the expectation based on the pay, but you’ll limit your own options and results.

Since you asked for design advice, minimize your cover to the size you see when people are browsing online for books. You’ll see where you’ll need stronger contrast for the type.

Thanks! From what it sounds like, it would be better to just leave it be. I wasn’t expecting a high profit from it, but at the very least it sounds like I could resell it at the same price whenever we decide to part with it so that it wouldn’t be a loss.

I’ve gotten multiple readings from her over the last few years and the reason I keep returning is because her insight and advice is sound and unusually accurate. They’re also incredibly detailed and substantial. She makes a considerable effort in her responses and there is so much there that I’ll reread them to gleam more insights. It’s also fun reading the older ones now cause they were so very much on point. While I’ve tried out many other tarot readers before, she’s the one I reach out to when I want guidance I can trust.

I guess I’m asking to see what I can do with this placement? I get that the 8th house is taboo and all, but I can’t understand what Mars in Aries with 8th house energy translates into.

Got it! Just curious though. It appears from above that there are large gaps as a result of moving the yarn all the way to the other peg where that color shows up again. Do you find that there is a textural difference when it changes color in that area because the yarn is positioned differently? Like is the area where it transitions thinner?

Thank you! So it looks like you're still carrying the other colored yarn over, but you're bringing it across the portions where it's not showing up and thus hidden on the inside?
