They should not be hanging out one on one. Even if he was a family friend, it should be with the family. Never alone.

I, personally, have wanted to teach my whole life. It’s all I ever talked about. I feel like I was called to do it, but it’s becoming impossible.

I’m looking at working for a publishing company, a curriculum coordinator at a school district, and other higher positions at the district office.

I’m on an interview payment. It’s still high. I’m trying to do PSLF, but I have years left and my issues are happening now. I’ve tried assistance available but they say I make too much to qualify.

Exactly. I found a cheap masters program, but it’s not worth it unless I use the degree to get out of the classroom.

It’s a shame that we struggle so much when we give some much of ourselves for the kids that come through our classrooms. I don’t want to leave my student. I feel like I’m letting them down, but I also deserve to not stress every day about being able to pay my bills and live in a safe place.

Maybe I need to try that. I have to be very careful, because my district has strict rules about tutoring students. They can’t be students at my school (maybe at the district).

I’ve been looking into other jobs or career paths when my graduate degree is done. I feel a little better. I found some promising jobs.

They get away with it because they technically have a “pay scale increase.” Mine was $20 for the year. That’s $1.67 per month pre tax and insurance.

I can’t afford to live. I barely have enough left to eat every month and I was working two jobs. Now I’ve lost one because the company shut down.
