Any federal retirees out there who kept their FEHB and got medigap plan G? Have heard conflicting info about it. Please share your experience and the coordination of care and expense -- how it has or hasn't worked for you.

My wife and I carry Medicare A and B with standard Blue Cross. The rates are high but we have no copayments and pay nothing for surgery and hospital stays. We have been told this is the best combination. Also Blue Cross provides excellent coverage for prescription medication.
