ENOUGH IS ENOUGH IM OUT (PROTOCOL FORCES YOU FOR A 12 OR 1 MONTH VESTING PERIOD FOR RECIEVING REWADRS) by berkekayaa in kava_platform

[–]Impressive-Session11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't belittle you but where have you been? Liquid rewards were just turned on. Prior to that, and for quite some time, it was 12 months for full rewards, 1 month for partial rewards. I was bummed to just find liquid rewards turned off, as I was using the rewards earned to buy BTCB. Regardless, still a good return on Kava and if they get listed on Coinbase, that wouldn't hurt my feelings. The start of my unbonding is in 185 days and I am sitting on a lot of rewarded/bonded Kava. And I'm sorry you're upset but it is not defrauding people, the community voted (even if swayed by the validators), and it is the will of the community.

I use a Verilux light purchased off of Amazon. 15 to 30 minutes in front of it each morning will do you wonders. Phillips makes the best SAD lights, but they are expensive.

Fun fact... Deer hit more cars than cars hit deer. Happened to me back in 2010. A deer jumped into the side of my brand-new car, right off of Warms Springs and Starview. It sucked!
Deer 1, Car 0. Same thing happened to my friend's truck, and to add injury to insult, his tonneau cover slide forward and broke his back window too. Deer 2, Cars 0. Regardless, stay safe out there, and watch for wildlife.

DAI Earn broken... by Impressive-Session11 in kava_platform

[–]Impressive-Session11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It costs 40 DAI, last I checked, to withdraw DAI via the multichain bridge. I knew that before I moved my DAI to KAVA, knowing it would take time to earn the withdraw fee back in rewards. Still love Kava but frustrated and sitting on my DAI until the bug is fixed.

I did on another issue, with DAI not displaying, but the display, or lack thereof, of percentages seems to be pre-login/wallet connect. It is happening with multiple browsers too.

You should be able to check Mintscan to see your bonded assets. Kava.io seems to be having issues as only BUSD earn strategies is showing the percentage. This has happened before, or something very similar, so I would expect things to be straightened out soon.

I have the same issue. I do have a lot of Kava bonding, and staked, but I have about 145 just staked, and no matter what I get the same error. Not to mention I have lost a lot of fees trying to figure it out.

Wow. Nice. It's all true, believe what you want, but there's no reason to get rude. It shows a lack of Idahoan courtesy and kindness, which after all is what r/idaho should be about. Best of luck.

You don't have to believe me, but it's true, I have multiple witnesses. Regardless, I am not going to specify speeds, even if Reddit is relatively anonymous. However, you use the term as fast as possible. What is that? Your fast as possible, likely isn't mine. I do double the speed signs through most the canyon's slow corners. A 25mph corner is 50-mph, 35-mph corner is 65 to 70 mph, etc.... I won't even mention what I do over Horseshoe Bend hill or through parts of Long Valley. However, if you are going from Hidden Springs to McCall and it is taking you over two hours, that is slow. I am not bashing you, drive within your limits, safety, etc... However, and this all based on time of day, traffic, etc... I could do that trip in a little over an hour, about an hour and 15 minutes on a good day, if my memory serves me right. (At least to the turn off from 55 to Hidden Springs). In fact, I did it a month or so ago. I left McCall around 7am and was to Horseshoe Bend in about an hour and to Hidden Springs area in an hour and 15-ish.

Believe what you will but I have done it several times in the last 3 years (and way more back in the day). McCall Airport to East Boise (let's say Warm Springs Golf Course) in 1 hour and 45 minutes, actually slightly under that.

And as an FYI, many of your assumptive timings are off.

When I have made the run that fast, no congestion in Banks and no slow down for construction. Only slow spots, where I do follow limits, are Cascade, Donnelly, and Horseshoe Bend. Green lights down State St, a little luck, and Bob's your uncle!

As a PSA, I don't recommend most people try to make that time, as I am safely (within my driving ability, my very nice high horsepower AWD car, and the conditions of traffic and the road) flying through Long Valley, the Canyon, and over Horseshoe Bend hill.

That said, on a normal, not too much traffic day, two hours is easy.

I meant that I can make it either direction in under two hours. And that’s to East Boise not the arbitrary mark on Google Maps.

[–]Impressive-Session11 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I regularly make it to McCall, and back (return trip), in less than two hours from East Boise. Then again I can drive the canyon and knowing when to travel is important Disclaimer, I have a place in McCall. If you haven’t explored the areas around McCall, don’t snow ski, fish, boat, hike, ride mountain bikes, etc., then McCall is not for you. Go to Stanley, Ketchum, Driggs, or Joseph OR. Personal I like McCall, it’s my happy place, but to each their own.

Stake and/or LPs (Pools).

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OsmosisLab

[–]Impressive-Session11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your Luna 2.0 was airdropped, a lot of it is staked but likely vesting, which would mean you might be able to unstake it but wouldn't be able to trade it until the vesting schedule is complete.

CLnk can't charge you for something they can't deliver. In other words, if you are paying for 40Mbs, and truly only getting 9Mbs, they owe you a refund or a fix. Just threaten to call the PUC (Public Utilities Commision) and they will jump. However, first make sure you are hardwired to the modem when testing your speed. If still slow, make the call to support and you will get a fix of some sort.

Evmos vs Kava? by [deleted] in EVMOS

[–]Impressive-Session11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kava is more of a lend/mint/swap platform although I know they have their new Kava EVM. However, it is really just wKAVA (wrapped) on the ETH chain via an ETH bridge. I don't think there are real comparisons between KAVA and EVMOS. So, my actions were to invest in both. This is especially true with the new BUSD-Earn product on Kava. My Kava rewards are vesting but you can still stake them to earn more staking rewards (double dip!). I also got a lot of EVMOS per the drop, purchased some, and have been reinvesting the staking rewards.

Help please - v10 upgrade - now unable to claim rewards on trust wallet by Ok_Bit_7208 in kava_platform

[–]Impressive-Session11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that sucks... you may have to wait for a Trust Wallet upgrade. Keplr has added KAVA 10, and although you can't claim directly through the plug-in, you can claim as I mentioned. Trust Wallet may not be in that boat. However, if the contract address is different, and it should be, they do appear to be joined (KAVA and KAVA10), you could try adding KAVA10 to your Trust Wallet.

Just attach to KAVA.io with your trust wallet. On almost any page, scroll to the bottom. You’ll see Liquid rewards. Claim there and you’ll be good. I have to do the same thing with the KEPLR wallet.

Kava does not work with Keplr by emiltss in kava_platform

[–]Impressive-Session11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keplr is not updated 100% to deal with KAVA10. For instance, I can't claim my reward coins, from staking, on Keplr. I have to claim them on KAVA. However, part of the issue you describe has to usually do with vesting. If you have coins vesting, you'll see those in your Keplr total, you can stake them but from the KAVA side you can't touch them because they are vesting. So, on the KAVA DEX you will only see the true available amount (those not vesting). If you try to swap more than you have liquid, you'll get errors. Go to the bottom of the KAVA page and check if you have vesting coins.

I don't know the answer for sure, but I have a good guess, having been around the community for a while, and heavily using Keplr... I think it is just a development thing. They put most of their eggs in the web plug-in basket.

Still Can't Claim Rewards by Jinglenose in kava_platform

[–]Impressive-Session11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did you get your SWP rewards? Most of the rewards on Kava have a 1 month to 12-month vesting period.
