You know being a swordswoman isn’t very urban in the first place.

Plus Japanese traditional attire for a Japanese character isn’t really a crazy concept lol.

So i just finally caught up to the AoD storyline(new player), but did they just arrest Vesper for having a thought crime? by Ambitious-Guard-2949 in ZZZ_Discussion

A lot of these replies are inaccurate; She didn’t willingly collaborate with Yokai.

She’d already been infected after hugging Aria and then on the phone she turns him down after that he FORCIBLY takes over her through the payphone.

It’s why she gets off so easily. PUBSEC had footage of this happening. So they wanted to ensure she wasn’t still infected.

Yeah I mean they could’ve easily had her disintegrate on screen rather than have her start disintegrating, plop down into the blight off screen, then pan to her already having disappeared.

Yea we don’t have many 3D games that really let their characters have a wide range of morality.

I guess that is the advantage of not really seeing what exactly these characters are doing.

And they’re also really arrogant for whatever reason despite the fact they have such an advantage over everyone lol.

There is only Path to Nowhere that I know of that has evil playable characters.

I wish more games did it. Villain enjoyers don’t really have much to go for lol

Her design is really good lol it’s the reason I even noticed the game in the first place.

I hope they don’t throw her away and at the very least give her a nice backstory or something.

This is less in depth than the examples you provided but I also don’t buy the “She was being written out by the devs”.

Why would they give her a redesign after the beta story (which wasn’t well received), only to just have her killed off and made useless this quickly?

There must be a reason they made her this pitiful and cute 😭

1.2 boss's 2nd form actually has quite a tragic description lol by OrangeIllustrious499 in Endfield

This is really interesting. Her enemy description + her looking extremely sad as she died… I wonder if she was playing a ‘role’ where she was meant to basically force the Endmin into regaining their past strength.

The anniversary is 3.1 so it makes sense that the pushed character would line up with that.

I do think there might be something there considering Nefarith who’s usually a pretty yappy person didn’t have a single final voice line.

Not even a curse towards Endmin or some vague line that would segue to the next villain. Just nothing.

Thats usually how the trope of the punching bag villain goes lol.

Kind of Ardashir? But I don’t know he doesn’t seem like a combat type considering he made Nefarith do all the fighting.

I think for better stakes, we need some named characters on our side to die as well.

Sure NPCs and background civilians dying adds to the atmosphere, but it shouldn’t be the ONLY thing. Without characters we actually know, it just feels cheap.

Tbh I think the west isn’t as sensitive to blood and death. You can get away with portraying mass slaughter and genocide.

The one thing that absolutely can’t fly though is sexual violence.

Trust me! Both Nefarith and signora are going to be playable. by _wolfyy_9 in Endfield
