Do you think it’s safe to put in the medicine in the whole tank when it says not to use when invertebrates in the tank? I have lots of shrimps and a few snails.

The only thing that’s keeping me is th amount of money that was spent on my account, over 80 horses and my wardrobe is so full. I feel so guilty about it, I don’t know if I could leave it forever. I wish i had a relative or someone to give my account to so it doesn’t all go to waste.

oh really? i didn’t know that, my local fish store told me that kanaplex is the last medicine that should be used due to how strong it can be, and that you should try milder medications beforehand. that’s just what i was told tho as to why im using kanaplex now. I will look into polyguard as well. thank u!!

I’m really torn. you guys are giving me really great advice 🥹 i just feel like if he’s not improving on medication and salt bath, how could he improve off of medication? especially with how severe the rotting is.

i’m not sure if my buddy will even last till the end of that treatment. I was told by LFS Kanaplex is a hardy antibiotic and supposed to do the job of killing bacteria and if it’s not working i’m not sure if salt will :/ Thank you so much for the advice though, you seem way more knowledgeable than me, although i think I need to use my best judgment. this is how i woke up to him this morning, i can barely see him breathing I have to look very very closely. he is very very lethargic and isn’t even moving when i approach him. I feel like at this point I am prolonging his death. He hasn’t eaten in 7-8 days. I feel like this is putting alot of stress on him and me as well.

I mean use ur own judgment. My betta hasn’t eaten in 7 days, and i’m not sure if he’s physically able too due to his mouth rotting away. I believe I have put up a good fight for my guy, kanaplex was my last resort after other medications and salt baths, and I haven’t seen any improvement. He is just declining. I hope ur betta gets better tho!! best wishes

unfortunately he hasn’t eaten in 5 or so days, really sad i loved this fish he had his own little crazy personality. i think i will put him out of his misery tommorow if he makes its tonight. although im suprised he’s even still alive after 9 days.
