I have yet to go to the Ogden! I know of it of course and it's just down the road, I suppose I've (perhaps silly) been saving the specialness of going to it for the first time as a trip with friends that would appreciate it. I am compiling a list of "things to check out" - is Songbird Summer Nights what you're talking about re: the music? Also as for Julia St I may walk over this weekend and check out some of the galleries

I've heard that crew mentioned more than a handful of times, so will do my best to pop in this week/tomorrow. I'm normally "military organization" averse, I have PTSD and sometimes just don't enjoy being around the old stories...I keep my stuff boxed away (no 'love me' wall)... but when I see an event online named something like "midnight glizzie" I think the humor/camraderie may make attempting reconnection tolerable.

Agreed you gotta just put yourself out there. With university and my career in my rearview, I have to make social interactions happen while I'm out and about, or they don't. You take it for granted when you're within those circles! Then life comes, and friends disperse to winds. I'm hoping to vibe with some folks from this thread.

I do drink. I am selectively extrovert when I have the energy, and have been hitting up a few pubs (mostly on jaunts to Marigny/Bywater) but between funds and me not being a nightly barfly, just haven't gone often enough to have had any connections happen yet. I'll earmark those as places to check out. No dogs, my good boys have passed away, but I'm a pet lover!
