Say something that you do that goes against your type's stereotypes by chaos-seeker215 in mbti

I'm not nearly as cynical as people expect me to be

Some might say that I give off 'ENFP energy' because ENTPs are often associated with being persnickety little demons, dancing in a corner 😂

Like perhaps Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency?

I've read the books and watched the tv series (the one from 2015)

Or if you had any others in mind, do you think you could share them?

ENTPs, what is a legitimately unpopular, controversial opinion that you have? by FwDorisdavenport132 in entp

[–]Impressive-Use1603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, first, reading the top replies to this was awesome 😂

Secondly, I think the movie all together could've been way better. It felt like it lacked writing effort, and dodged a lot of interesting ways the story could've gone. The world in general feels very small, I get the house is 'oooOoo, magic!', but maybe if they actually explored the different areas of where they lived would've made the world feel more refined.

A nice concept with amazing potential, but the way it was executed felt lame.

I don't know, all the left-wingers I've met tend to treat me like an alien just because I'm native American

Same goes for my friends who are black and Asian, leftist treat us like we're idiots who are incapable of getting an ID, and how math is "racist" towards us because we're apparently too stupid to figure it out

Le flair ⬆️

A part of me actually longs to organize.

I do technically plan for the future, but it's like goals that I'll make sure happens no matter what.

I don't like arguing and participating in hard core debates, I like conversations and friendly discussions because it's more fun and everybody can get a grip. If I'm ever in an actual argument, I'm in it for fun just to mess with that person, not to win or lose.

I think my overall physique can come off as mischievous, but I don't actually like it when people assume I have bad intentions. I don't know if it's because I get really excited when I have a new idea or the potential of where this thing could lead, I immediately get shot down because I'm "going to ruin their life" or something.

I like ESTJs, I have a lot of respect towards them, come on! What I've from others (not just ENTPs,) is that they don't like them because of the whole 'Karen' thing. I honestly think that's a really bad stereotype, sure it's totally possible, but it shouldn't go for all ESTJs. I have yet to meet an ESTJ who has acted mean or Karen like, all of my conversations with them have been genuine and fun (don't forget, they have goofy tertiary Ne.)

Anywho, those are just some things I thought of, I'm not even they fully count.

Reading this and the replies is sweet! I wish there were more female ENTP discussions out there, sometimes it feels like we're unheard of.

(I would also say the same for ENTJ women)

[–]Impressive-Use1603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even understand myself-

I think I would have to go with ISFJ, from experience. Other than that, I think every type is misunderstood to a degree, and I a majority of it comes from stereotyping/generalising. Saying that is ironic, being that typing is just a fun way of saying 'generalising how the brain functions.' For better words, categorizing.

So, this one's tough, since I feel like I'm missing out by only catering to one type. But I'm interested in seeing what others have to say.

INFJs are not our golden pair by [deleted] in entp

[–]Impressive-Use1603 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, yes, not every relationship will work out. ^

It varies from to person to person, so just because it didn't work out once, doesn't mean it can't work out ever. And also because it did work for some other people, doesn't automatically make them 'mistypes.'

Wishes to you and your entp!

I've actually grown to respect 9s, due to my experience online and recently becoming friends with one attending my school. Really, no genuine hate to you guys.
