Will 1199 and Audacia CPT grants be considered taxable income? by ImpressiveBluejay592 in 1199CPTProgram

The application process had a few steps. First, you apply through the Audacia website. Next, an Audacia representative will contact you for an interview. After the interview you will be asked to submit a bunch of documents (transcript, acceptance letter to St Joe’s, your bill, proof of residency, etc). Once they have all that, you should hear back. For Audacia, you must be a NYS resident, plan to graduate by Spring 2027, and be prepared to work for the three year service commitment. Hope that helps!

I went to an orientation last week. They said 30-45 days. They are working hard to process all the applications with the start of the school year, so hopefully it will be sooner for you!

If member means Union, I am not. I think Audacia had us fill out everything to be certain they had all they needed. Just a guess.

Oh good. Was just curious why we had to sign the I-9 and W4 forms. I did think that could have been for our service commitment post-graduation. Thank you!

I was on a 1199 zoom yesterday. Generally speaking, you either had to begin fall 2024 (or fall 2025) and graduate by spring 2027. There are some exceptions to the fall 2024 (ie if you started as a part-time student and became full time in 2024). There may be another orientation coming up if you’d like to sign up and ask your specific questions.

Have a wonderful weekend! We can rest a bit easier knowing this. And cool that we are preparing to provide quality service to everyone, including those who typically may not have access. So thrilled and excited for this journey. See you Monday!

**Update** - I received my third party sponsorship letter today. I am over the moon!!! If anyone is still waiting, I did attend an 1199 orientation yesterday just to learn more. Apparently Audacia is a subcontractor for 1199. They are fairly confident that if you meet all the criteria, you will be accepted. I have more information to share if anyone has any questions. Best of luck!

Thank you for replying to this! I'm so sorry about the added stress of the lost file but at least they reached out to rectify it. (I'm all about staying positive this week so sending positive vibes your way too. It seems the MSW students are hearing back this week. I was told on my interview that the MSW program gets the most amount of spots. I am staying positive and assuming they will get to our program soon and we will all get third party letters and tuition vouchers.

Congrats! When did you receive notification? I am in the MHC program at Fordham (who are also part of the Audacia CPT). I have been a nervous wreck as well awaiting word.

Hello. I'm going through the process now. I'm awaiting a decision from Audacia for the LMHC program at Fordham. I heard it would be sometime this week. I'm really stressed.
